You get a wet stache when blowing vapor through it too?!Does anyone else in here suffer from vape beard? Lol I guess I should say vape stache really...

Yes sir! I figured I wasn't the only one, just thought I'd ask as I never noticed it till before. I've been growing my beard out and my mustache hasn't been this long in years, guess that's why I never noticed before. You get a wet stache when blowing vapor through it too?!

I received my Sub Zero rda today and after giving it a good cleaning I built it with dual 24ga 317L stainless steel 3mm coils which came out to read .24 ohms. I did have to add one thickness of flat dental floss under the oring on the base to snug up the barrel so the air flow adjustment would not move so easy. I was going to use it on my Reuleaux mod, but the "sunken well" area around the 510 would let the barrel slide down about 2mm or so causing the airflow holes to not line up. So I paired it with my dual battery Yihi J chip/board mod I built. I was going to try temp control, but the 317L stainless steel does not want to play nice in temp mode so far. So I am using it in watts mode for now.
This rda sure does have a large amount of airflow when fully open. I have to shut down the airflow a good amount to get it to suit my vaping style. The flavor is great the way I have it setup and I am really enjoying using it.
I will build it with my normal 430 stainless steel twisted 28ga wire tomorrow to see if I can get it going in temp control.
Thanks Mr.Mann for making me aware of this rda.

Same here. My wife made me shave my beard back at the end of October. Instead of baby smooth I left my mustache. For the past months I've been slowly growing it all back out. But I actually had to trim my mustache this week just because I was tired of having a wet lipYes sir! I figured I wasn't the only one, just thought I'd ask as I never noticed it till before. Tugboat V3. Two post, adjustable side and top airflow. Flawless fanboy so I'll probably get one.
Glad you like it, I love mine although I know it's not exactly going to be for everyone.
Edited:
Aw man! The main reason I got this mod was to use with this atty and you are correct. The walls of the barrel need to sit flush with the deck's base for the holes to line up right and for the locking function to work optimally. Dang! It's not cutting off too much air, but I'm irked by this. And it's a pain to get in the RX 510 connection too.Generally I thread the Sub Zero lightly for the threads to catch, then I keep threading while pulling upward on the atty--but it's like the pin in the RX is really up high and tight and I can't push down with this atty until the threads are already caught, so they're fighting each other and the Sub Zero is losing. Oh well, looks like this the RX will be for the Magma Reborn and the Sub Zero(s) will stay parked on my Sig 200(s).
3 hours later....
Okay, so it's not soooo bad now. The threads are catching, but there's still a bit too much up and down play. That said, I am rockin' the Sub Zero now on my RX and this little mod is great. The exact same height as the dang-on iStick 50 watt! And this one is 200? LOL
You got me thinking about the problem with the recessed well around the 510 on the RX and the Reuleaux and it causing the barrel on the Sub Zero to be loose. I took another look at the problem and I have come up with a fix.
I used the lid off of a plastic tub like what is used for butter or cool whip. The one I used was .020 thick. I cut two "washers/spacers" from this lid(for a total thickness of .040 of an inch) that are 22mm OD and around 15mm ID and stacked the two of them in this "well" and then screwed the Sub Zero on as normal.
Now no play in the barrel on the Sub Zero and the rotating airflow adjustment works just like it does on a mod with a flat 510. These two "washers/spacers" do away with the recessed well. After this modification, the rda still fully engages the 510 threads. One does need to be careful and NOT let these "washers/spacers go over the center raised metal part that has the female 510 threads as this would keep the male threads on the rda from screwing down fully into the female threads on the mod.
........Let the spacers go into the well ONLY.
This worked on my Reuleaux, however the thickness and ID/OD needed may be different on the RX and even other Reuleaux and may have to be adjusted.
The metal center part with the female 510 threads is a few thousands of an inch lower than the top of the mod and the washers/spacers should not be any higher than this metal center part.
I will look for a metal washer that can be used as a permanent fix and if I find one I will report back with the info.

I saw that, but I've been debating my response ever since it was posted lol I'm reserving my comments due to friends in here who love flawless. And I get it, I would defend hobo customs myself. It's a beautiful piece to be honest, I won't lie about that. And it is tempting....but there's more I don't like then do like. I'd rather take the 90$ and buy another NarDA. But that's just my opinion of course.
We all have our preferences, nothing to be sorry about. I've always wanted a two post Tugboat so I'll get one. I don't really understand the fascination with top airflow so I'm indifferent about that addition. I'll probably wait for other colors and impressions before I buy.I saw that, but I've been debating my response ever since it was posted lol I'm reserving my comments due to friends in here who love flawless. Sweet. I had imagined something like what you spoke of but didn't want to jury-rig anything together tonight. Now you got me wondering if there are any physical differences between the RX and the Releaux. I think it's all internal, but not too sure.
I too think the outside of the RX and the Reuleaux are the same except for the location of the window for the screen which is higher/closer to the fire button on the RX. The local vape shop I hang around at just got the RX in today. I will try to compare them to my Reuleaux early next week when I go back to the vape shop.
Just a side note..... I am running a single, spaced 4.25mm coil made with 430 stainless steel 28ga twisted in my Sub Zero at the present time and it is doing just fine using temp control. This is the largest od coil I have ever built.
The high ohms (.72) and single coil is probably the best I have built yet for temp control. I normally use dual coils for temp control, but I now think single coil is the way to go. Heck, this coil probably has as much surface area as two of my normal 2.5mm coils and with the other air hole plugged this coil is getting lots of air flow .
lovin my magma, consider this rda if your a fan of kennedy or snapdragon but want a better airflow configuration....
