Sucks I've never had any of those but I can tell you which I'd buy if I was looking at all them. Either the velocity or the petri.

Same here; having never vaped any of those, I'd say get the petri. It's really well made and I don't think I've ever seen someone own one and dislike it. Its gotta be super easy to build and I've heard the flavor from it is quite good.

All over the place
This isn't the right thread, but since I know people here know 'stuff': Is there anyone out like vape 'N' Shine? I don't think he's doing it anymore. I have a simple project and don't know where to turn. It's simple for someone that knows what they are doing, but it's beyond me trying to hack it.

Finally! My black hole items showed up today. You guys were right this mini volt is tiny, I could possibly lose this lol. Hopefully I get time to build the solstice, if not definitely the weekend since we have some snow coming.

My solstice was supposed to be here today. No dice. Shows it going to a post office in Chesapeake va (45 min from me). Ugh.

Mine almost didn't come, normally my mail is here before lunch but it came pretty late. Hell I won't complain about that though.

Some Solstice first package impressions:

First off its pretty flawless, no machine oil, metal shavings, insulators are clean, no marks dents or burs. It comes in a little container similar to the hobos, like a old school film container or BB holder. Comes with extra screws, Allen key, and 1 o-ring...Yeah 1 lol. Haven't tested it's tolerances yet since I don't have time to build but I just cleaned it so it pains me not too. This thing is hefty and of quality like @67Tele mentioned, I swear it's like a mini hobo 3.1 or a jr of sorts, let's hope it vapes like it as well and I will be extremely happy with this purchase. Vape comments to follow this weekend if not tomorrow.

I can't wait to get it. At this point though, it's being shipped to my buddy's house from work so if it comes tomorrow I have to try to meet up with him this weekend in the potential snowstorm or wait til Monday. Ugh.
Oh your getting this snow storm too? Lol I'd suggest getting it asap so you have the weekend to mess with it, i really feel you'll like it since you've wanted a hobo 3.1. Best part of a storm is more time to vape!

I have a Origenny, v3 and v2 dripper, and a little 16 dripper. Dual 28g coming in at around 0.8 at 30 watts on them all. I would rate them in that order. The Origenny with mesh is nice, but I prefer cotton.

The vape on the v3 and the genny is very similar, I don't think you will be disappointed.

More of a genny type question but it involves a dripper so....

Is the origenny that any better then the v3, outside of having the tank on it? I love the draw and flavor I get from my dripper and kinda want the genny but don't have any other real reason why, other then I want it lol.

If you put mesh in it, the flavor will be better than the dripper (you could also put mesh in the dripper though), if you put cotton in it, it won't be much different than the dripper with the addition of a tank.

One main difference is the chamber reducer; the drippers don't have that feature so if you run a cotton build, it will still vape a little different than the dripper. Basically, for a dual coil build in the dripper, I use 24g; for a dual coil build in the genny, I use 26g. For mesh in the genny, I do a 28g single coil.

Not so much of the storm that those north of me are getting, but in the Hampton Roads area, a call for a dusting on the news shuts down the entire area for that day, and an inch of snow will close almost the whole region lol. It's really weird for me since I grew up in Pittsburgh and used to drive to college in a foot of snow lol.

Southwest VA here... latest forecast guidance calls for 14"-30". It's all good... I have ~25 batteries fully charged and ready to go. Oh, yeah, my wife has also made sure we have enough food to eat.

Franklin is supposed to get that much? Out here in Poquoson we were only quoted 1-4 last I saw. But being directly on the water there's more flooding and freezing warnings than snow.

Edit: just learned Franklin county is different than Franklin, va near me lol. Best of luck to you out there.

Sort of thread related: What simple builds have y'all put on the NarDA? Lower or higher resistance? Single coil?

Thanks!
Got it yesterday. Tried 26g micro duals at 0.44 Ohm. Too strong flavor, I would say harsh. Switched to single parallell 27g at 0.6 Ohm. A lot better but not there yet. Maybe not too much help but you could at least possibly rule out these builds. :)

The M-atty would bring ridiculous money. I saw a dude on a FB group last night offer up $400 in cash + a Tartos DNA40 mod and something else I can't remember for an M-atty. Well over $1000 total.

But, hey, I'm a big proponent of not judging what other people spend their money on. I'm sure a lot of folks would think most of us are nuts to spend $100 on an atty.

Yeah, some of the prices made lately are ridiculous!
I've spent pleeeeeenty on attys, but even I boggle at the $1k+ offers for things like M-atty and Ubertoots.
It's no wonder the clone industry is thriving, certain authentics are inflated (artificially or not) way out of the average vaper's price range.
