Hey guys so I put a few different builds in the drifter and I am getting a decent vapes ....I mean its good I'm just not getting a "wow that's good" feeling in any one area. Vapor production I know its build dependant but it has been mediocre in that respect I mean it can handle builds a bit lower and hotter then my 3.1 but not crazily so. Flavor is good(after experimenting with a few builds I was able to figure out that coil placement is KEY to getting this thing to perform) finally settled on some Clapton coils sitting slightly elevated above the side airflow just high enough to hit the lower half of the coil directly. I really want to love this thing but can't help but feel I'm not doing it right or something ..... Back to the drawing board
While reading this it's like I'm reading myself talking about the Drifter. Just meh all around in my opinion. And it sucks to say that, I just don't get how thousands of others are gushing about this thing. I'm sorry but Hoberto dropped the ball on this one and took like 12 steps back. Love the looks and everything but it's just a underperformer at best.

While disappointing that it seems like he dropped the ball I say you sell it while it's still hot. If you don't like it might as well make room for something you do like. I'm in the same boat with my OG Twisted Messes, I can't move it on the classies because the new one is out & while I used to like it from a building standpoint it never blew me away. Strike while the iron is hot & sell, sell, sell!

I sorta feel the same about The Drifter. After engineering such a great vape on the 3.1 this seems "rushed" and IMHO lazy (I know Hobo personally and like him).

Might be best for me to dump the Drifter and NoPity as I am finding myself going back to my Narda and Velocity and saying "that's a great vape".

That makes sense to me..I'm not crazy about the NoPity or Drifter either...I need to use what works and stop chasing the dragon wasting money.

Looking for a new atty to put atop a new cc mod. Currently in have a few velocities v1 which I enjoy very much. Then I have some Derringers which for me to use need more airflow lol. Have a tsnumai on order from ross but I'd like a few more options. Any recommendations?

Have you tried your derringers without the inner ring? Pretty massive air and it opens up the deck to larger diameter coils. I now use my derringer topcaps without the inner ring on other decks (CLT v1 & hellfire short-cranked).

Interesting, never tried that...I haven't used a Derringer in a while. Think I'll try that.

For me its not just vaping its collecting in a way even the ones that aren't my cup of tea are part of the collection
I was coiling the Hobo 3.1 this morning, wow....what a pain to simply coil an atty, had to use channel locks to get that damn center piece off...another atty for the classies.
Lol...it took me a second to understand but yes the middle piece is unbelievably hard to remove and i felt the same way and someone here recommended I wait and work with it a bit. After removing the unneeded o-ring it comes off much easier and it is quickly become one of my favorite attys !!! I also got the bf pin amd cannot wait for the dripbox to get here as from what i hear it makes an amazing squonker _8) goodluck hun:pop:

I put the Narmods BF pin in it....regardless...its still going on the classies...I really didn't think the flavor was nearly as good as the NarDa NoPity Petri V2 Marquis Manta, et al.

I'm all done buying attys.

I hit the point of no return with my stumpys. I've added a few here and there but I am where I need to be as well and no longer fall into the BS hype machine

If you remove the bottom o-ring it makes the middle easy to turn. Also keeping the leads long on the coil to help with installing, aka Z coil.

I love the Hobo, it's become my favorite next to the Stumpy. Killer flavor, vapor & easy building.
