My rule of thumb is that the higher gauge wire adds so much mass that current doesn't travel through it as much as the core. Instead it is heated from the inside out. I haven't touched steam engine in a while because I use regulated devices with a low build limit, but I would venture a guess it wouldn't be far off from a standard coil of the same internal gauge wire wraps and diameter.

Thanks Uncle and all. I've gotten some Claptons off eBay. .62 ohm with .4 Ohm coming. I'm experiencing the same mentioned ramp up lag on SX mini and Hana. Flavor seems a little smoother and fuller but not necessarily more flavorful. I'd like to try the UD as well.

Appreciate the tips!

ITS ME WHO CAN GET DINGY FOR $40

I work PT at a shop and get the madz hookupz yo:D

Petri has two posts so it instantly gets some unique points. Its a great attie, wish it had a shade tighter of a draw. Im actually going to be getting another one to use as a Ti attie ONLY. Nice long Ti coils will work amazing in the Petri.

What can you compare the draw to, TC?

Im really not sure about this Aeolus. Its got GOOD flavor, like really good BUT theres just something about the draw. Its almost rough. I NEVER cough from my ADV at 3mg, this Aeolus is really odd. I know tons of people LOVE it but I dunno, theres something about it. Maybe I wont find an attie I like more then what I have. The struggle is soooo real.

I know I'm gonna be selling my Aeolus V2. I feel the same way about it like Toronto does about his V1. Good flavor but the airflow is weird for me. Plus all I seem to be using is my Tugs and Dinghy anyway. Occasional Derringer usage too.

Do you have a stainless one? If so let me know how much, I have the black but I want to pickup a stainless eventually too.

Got my Stro Mini in today and I must say I'm really liking this thing. The flavor is great, while it has non adjustable airflow the draw is almost perfect (subjective). Building is really easy, same deck style as the velocity, the post holes are massive and the price is great ($30). There are a few quirks though, build quality isn't the best but at $30 you can't complain to much. Non adjustable airflow, again subjective. The post holes go all the way through so I can see with using some wire if you over tighten it could snap but long as you pay attention this shouldn't happen. The delrin tip sits a little far down so if you build your coils super high there could be an issue but long as you're not dry firing it with the cap on top there shouldn't be an issue and last is availability, it's basically sold out everywhere. The one place I did find it only had copper and brass, while I'm not happy with having to get copper I am glad I was able to pick up this atty. I fully plan to get a stainless one when I can find it and this will be in my daily rotation along with my Stumpy and thunderstorm tank.

EDIT: After using this for about a day I'm going back to my stumpy. You have to paint your wicks otherwise you may as well boil your juice then drink it. Also having boiling juice run down your mod is not so great either. on't near this amount of spit back with the stumpy, even if I over drip it.

Im really ....... I thought this Aeolus was going to be the cats meow. The best RDA. It doesnt even vape as good as my old Tug. Im getting an Origen. I know thats going to be fantastic. I love my Petri, hopefully Origen dethrones it

"I know that's going to be fantastic" Don't count your chickens before they hatch! ;) Based on what I have read though, I don't doubt it either lol. Still over here waiting on my Nixon. USPS estimated today, but I know that's not going to happen because all my packages check in to a town 1 hour away on their day of arrival.

You can get a comp cap for it that will make the airflow similar to the v2, seems like they just lowered the price, only 20 bucks now I think they used to be 35.

For Mr.mann Todd just put up a sneak peak on youtube of the Vortice:

Thanks. I see now that the coils have to be high. Interest is piqued.

No, I have vaped a clone Origen3 and it was one of the best vapes I have had. Easily top five and I think if I really thought about all the atties I have used it would be top three That was a CLONE my buddy leant me. NOT EVEN 1:1 clone so the authentic will obviously be better. Dual 2.5mm airholes is what I would choose if I could and the Origen3 added a set of 2.5mm airholes. I love an attie that can hold a lot of juice, it can. I HATE when you gotta use a set of ultra insanse coils to even get basic flavor, the flavor from the Origen3 (clone) built with my "go to" first build I do on all RDAs I get was OUTSTANDING (24g N80, 9 wraps, did verticals.) I have seen the authentic, checked it all out and so forth and the quality was insanse, the maker is known for having quality products. Finally its simple and looks STUNNING. I cant wait to get the authentic. Im going to go back to my Petri and Stumpy and then add the Origen and a cerakoted Tug when I get it to my regular rotation. I have used all those atties and I think five atties is a good number in regular rotation to me. Also keep the RH around.

One thing the Origen has that I don't often see mentioned for contributing to flavor, though I really think it does, is beefy steel! Not sure how that contributes, but it sure seems like it does. I think the Origen is the beefiest atty I've ever had the pleasure of handling.
