There's one in each corner and they're kinda routed down facing the coils.

thanks, Mr NB. They should be ashamed of themselves for putting this out like that, . I doubt that little diversion will actually make the air move towards the coils. What is your thoughts and how do you like it?

I actually don't own a tugboat. Got this because I had heard that the tugcaps fit the Phenotype L base so I picked this up. May have just been the slamcap and not the square cap, but the square cap does not fit on the phenotype.

My new royal hunter came in the mail today. Any suggestions for builds on it? I put dual 24g 8 wraps each and it came to .4 ohm. Running it at 45 watts it overheats quick. The vp sucks. Flavor is ok. Did I use too much wicking maybe? How much wicking does rh need? This is one of my first dual coils. Maybe I should've just went with single first...

Try 26ga, 3mm ID, around .6 to .8 ohms single coil and go from there. Wicking is like most RDAs. Just enough to get a little resistance when you pull it through. The great flavor is there to be gotten.

Did you adjust the air flow control so that both sides are completely open? I usually do that or dial it down to 3 of the slots on both sides are open.

Work with it some more. It really is worth it.

Good luck!

I fixed the wicking and got it dialed in. Only problem is sometimes it leaks. I swear I'll find an rda one day that doesn't leak.

Why doesn't it fit? Are the posts too tall? They are only like a mm or maybe 2 taller, maybe could shave them down a bit with a dremel. The OG cap and the Anarchist cap both fit, haven't got my slam cap back to try yet.

Next on my list to try. Any suggestions. Preferably something not ungodly expensive. Tho I'm not opposed to buying a that word starts with a c lol.
You should try an aeolus v2. Right now it's my favorite atty; it's pretty much leak proof, has amazing flavor, great airflow options and huge post holes. And i have i mentioned yet how much i love the airflow? So far it has my favorite draw of anything I've tried.

Been hearing good things about the Sapor by Wotofo. $30 authentic at VaporDNA and top-air flow. May be worth looking in to.

I'll look into. Not tryin tk break the bank. Not that that's expensive but just keep buying more gear. Only thing bad about rh is it gets hot but to be expected in dual coil 24g I guess. And can only get like 4 hits before I have to redrip. I have gotten my magma to not leak. So what's so great about top airflow. Sounds kinda indirect to me. How has no one thought of it before?

So I'm thinking I'm gonna sell my low pro atty. This thing is a pita and a half.....everything from tightening down the leads, to wicking, to even re-wicking is a pain. I mean it's doable yeah and I did build it but it's just not worth the pain that it causes.

Sapor is a good way to give the top airflow a try as it's cheap and supposedly rivals the Aeolus.. seems a lot of people call it a "$30 Aeolus" lol Can't really help with the RH much other than 24g coils get hot fast, if you want a real nice vape do a parallel 24g build like 4 or 5 wraps, the other coil acting as a heatsink will smooth out the vape quite a bit.

This is the main reason I don't like the tiny chamber RDA's, they just seem like a pain in the .... to build on for no reason, you can get the same flavor out of a bit bigger chamber thats much easier to build on you just gotta crank up the wattage a bit. Don't get me wrong they're great for low wattage but if you're using mechs or any kind of higher wattage mod I just don't see any reason to use them a bit larger chamber just seems all around better IME, easier to build on, more room for the vapor to expand without getting crazy hot and more vapor = more flavor. It seems like i'm the only one that feels that way though lol

I just have a thing for tiny attys lol and I liked the deck design, so I had to try it. If this deck was in a normal size design it would be great. But considering everything as a package it's just not worth the headache. It can be done but who the hell wants to deal with all that, I wanna vape not be frustrated. That's a huge turn off for me. I'm gonna give it one more chance tomorrow and put duals in it and see how that goes. It strikes me more as a single coil bottom feeder type, I only did single coil and the wick was dry after 4 hits. That's only one coil. This isn't an on the go atty at all. I can't imagine what a lower resistance dual coil build would do to the wicks.

Yea, I don't own it and haven't seen it in person so probably shouldn't comment, just got me thinking about it. But those kind of deck designs are frustrating.. To me the best you can ask for in deck design is like the Aeolus, no juice well, flat base, large post holes, super easy to work with. To me anyway, at the end of the day 95% of it is just airflow around the coils. If someone made a side airflow that you could build the coils slightly higher to get the airflow under them and keep the airflow holes from being so low that they leak like a sieve when you over drip, with a normal size chamber and have moderately good airflow it would be the most amazing RDA ever. The Phenotype is awesome for 90% of this lol but the airflow is so ridiculous it's not even adjustable to a reasonable point so it just becomes a pretentious "cloud chasing" atty.. Someone really needs to find the middle ground. If there was something somewhere between the Pheno and the Baal v2 it would be perfect for me. Baal v2 has crazy flavor but those airholes are just to low so it make it a pain in the .... to use as well. It seems so easy to me, make a moderately sized RDA with high airflow holes, build your coils higher than airflow so you have lots of wick and just vape flavor all day. Apparently it's not that easy though lol
