Wow. I hope the 3.1 comes with diffrent screws. I got 1.5 and up. Anyone know?

Seeing that it is a 2-post design, I see no reason to have such small screws. Just using reason here, but we all know reason flies out the window when dealing with RDAs. *cough* Aeolus V2 Pro *cough*

You can find something like this with interchangeable heads (what I use) from Home Depot or something like that, but for cheap! And for some reason those don't strip, and least I have not had it happen.

I thought about that but then I remembered I have a tendency to lose small parts . I might pick up one for the travel bag.

Looking good to me! I already bought an atty for the week (I got the GOTA), so I am thinking this is in my next three or so. Likely my next one, that is unless that Zenith takes my attention or the Thump is a two-post. But I want this atty regardless.

Shes a beaut eh. Just finished building mine.
What did you build? Still experimenting. I put 28ni200/32ni200 twisted on 3mm with 5 wraps between the posts and sitting at .11 ohms
Using both air wholes almost closed.DNA40 at 460f and vaping at 20ish

Still not sold on the build yet we will see.. Might need to go more wraps

Based on the preview video, I'm pretty sure the Thump will have a center block/split post. You can see directly inside the top cap at one point and that's what it appears to be. I'm fine with that though I'd prefer a two post design.

I am fine with a T-block, but I am sick of three-post decks, no matter how creative they look.

So, a little off topic but, not too far: I can't stand the "L" hex driver. Pops outta my damn hand if I look at it wrong, drops to the floor so I have to get on my knees to find it and then do it again two minutes later when it pops outta my damn hand again.

I'd like to get a hex driver set with regular handles. There's several on Amazon. The one I'm looking at has: Includes 0.7, 0.9, 1.3 x 40mm, 1.5, 2.0 x 50mm, 2.5, 3.0 x 60mm.

Do y'all think those might cover most of the RDAs that have hex screws?

Gracias!

I have something similar to these TowerHobbies.com |Associated Factory Team 7-Piece Hex Driver Set from my R/C car racing days. everything has set screws on rc cars so lots of experience with that. The set screws strip so easily but the tools they make specifically for R/C are like this brittle hardened steel, they fit perfectly and they will break before they lose there shape/get rounded edges/strip out the set screws. I don't know the exact sizes for all RDA's but I highly recommend something like this over anything you'll find on Amazon, been there done that and it's actually nice to find a new use for these old allen drivers I have lol

I'm with you there, I think all these 3 and 4 post decks are just lazy/cheaper to manufacture at this point. Vaping is all about airflow and all they do is impede the airflow. I mean look at the dotmod, its a simple 2 post design theres nothing really special about it but it gives a great vape. Its just a clean uncluttered deck that maximizes airflow inside the atty. I'm sure it's easier to manufacture a center positive post as it sits right over top of the center pin but it's counter intuitive both for centering coils and for impeding airflow.
