I don't know, I (like many of us) buy atties to use them and then selling them is just right around the corner. Don't know why that is, but it comes with the habit (at least for me). I have been sitting on this Manta v2 and I think this is one that I can't let go of. I mean, it is really a great atomizer. Sure it has its idiosyncrasies, but the flavor is really pure and refreshing--and it doesn't hurt that it looks stunning! Plus, it just seems to be too perfect for my @JKuro mod!!!! I think I am going to keep this one...I think.

That mod is stunning, I love a good stainless mech. I love my copper ones but now that I've moved on somewhat the smell is starting to annoy me a little.

Yeah, nothing like the smell of old pennies! Luckily the man that wrote the book on voltage drop made a stainless steel mod. And thanks, BTW. I am proud to own that mod becasue 1) it's got great performance and looks and 2) it's made by a good dude.

Exactly lol I have 2 copper mechs and 1 stainless. The 1 copper is coated and I love it but I like the other 1 that's not coated better, go figure. I'd love that mod but it's a little out of my range, it's a beaut though!

I finally had a chance to get my Mako shorty bottom fed and set up yesterday and been vaping away for a day now. First impressions is this is one of the cleanest atty's I have purchased ever. Top quality all the way around. The contact screw I am guessing was brass because of how easy it was to drill out. The center pin was SS / 24k gold plated. I will also note the center pin was knurled as well to give that anti spin protection. The top cap and both, chuff / std 510 AFC, fit very snuggly onto the base. Post holes I would image you could put almost anything in there and still have room left over. They are huge... Very solid overall.

I set it up with dual 26g Ni80 2.5mm 7/8 wrap .35Ω coils w/ 3mm RxW and will have to say this thing is chucking vapor and has all the flavor I could ask for. I have only used it with the chuff cap as I on't really like smaller 510 drip tips anymore, but the one supplied again is top notch quality. The closest RDA I can compare it to is the Derringer and there really isn't any comparison at all. I would imagine if this came out around the time the Derringer hit, the Derringer would've been a total fail in every way, shape, and form.... Very solid performer from top to bottom. I am impressed...

I'm really enjoying the hobo 3 (hated the first hobo)
I love the spinning positive post, built a single parallel 24 awg on the posts at 180° then turned the positive a good 30° degrees so the 210° opened up and curved the coils a bit (sorry too much math for a monday morning), this is truly a versatile deck!

My thoughts exactly!! Its half the reason why I finally sold my old derringer, I would take the mako shorty over a Derringer any day of the week. I still use mine everyday. Between that and my hobo I really don't use much of anything else anymore.

I only say that cause mine was the first version and I had it for SO long. But yes, old! Lol

Dude, that V1 coulda aged with the dignity of a fine wine... shelf! I often wonder which products within this industry will be sought after, 20 years down the road. I assume not many regulated mods will age 20 years with dignity (or functionality...). My list would have to be;

Anything from Cisco (Velocity, Marquis, etc)

The Provari Mini 2.5!

The tootle puffers will still be tracking down their Cartos of course ;)

And as far main stream mech mods (not the freaking 5000 year old asteroid born mech mod monstrosity), the Caravella (cuz retro highend), MAYBE one of Hyon's mods (certainly built to last 20 years lol) and of course the Authentic Nemesis because there will be so many clones floating around it will be close to impossible to find the real deal.

Okay, sorry for the off topic jabbering, but at least I threw some RDAs on that list :lol:
