A shop just outside of Toronto had a few for $190. I see them on US sites for $30-$50 cheaper. I was STOKED to grab it, the attie actually is good IMO and the mech is my style to a T. I saw the bottom and the posts and changed my mind. Mr Mann, hows the Tug. Whats the verdict, a keeper or no?

Oh, I dunno. I am thinking back to what you said when I posted I was getting one. I'll leave it at that. I'll tell you this much, that white ceramic like coating is freakin' the bidness! So suhweet and such a nice feel to the overall atty and drip tip. That is like my favorite part!

I guess your not to much a fan of the Tug or am I wrong? What do you like, dislike? Hows the Petri, is she a keeper?;)

I don't know, man. I guess I get why people like them, but the Tug (specifically) seems like it could've (maybe should've) come out around the time of the Igo-W and the Patriot. I like the flavor and draw better off of the Petri and the hit better off the Tug. The Tug has the TH I love. I really like the hit off the Tug! One thing I really don't care for with the Petri is how it makes a two-post deck more difficult and wonky than it need be (at least to me). Frankly, having those posts so far apart practically makes the user build long coils (and I am actually not a fan of the two holes). I may appreciate it tomorrow, but tonight I am not feeling the slack slinkies (but Claptons work out well seeing as I like to build non-contact Claptons). I do like the the lack of heat retention of the Petri though.

Is it cerakoted? I cant recall what I said exactly. Shooting you a msg

Feels that way. It's awesome! Love that part. It' super slick!!

I LOVE the looks of the cerakoted Tug! I get the part about the Petri posts, I actually like the two holes haha. Either or, I do like both those atties so you wont find me saying very much negative. The Tug does get a lot better with a SC but I could see why someone would not want to spend the extra. One thing we both agree on, those cerakoted Tugboats look amazing! Personally, I put HUGE fused claptons in my Petri or really long twisted builds and run them on regulated mods so its not an issue to me. I have had MINOR issues with a 8 wrap macro coil but i kinda just made the legs a tad longer and worked with it.

I tell ya', each new atty I try makes me think that much more fondly of the Stumpy. It is likely the best RDA I've tried in a loooooooooooong time---maybe since the Origen v2 (and those two are NOTHING alike, but it's about how much I liked them).

Haha, its kinda similar for me with the Marquis. Every attie I try (except a few but even still...) I tend to remember the Marquis and how great of an attie it really was. I do looooove The Stumpy but I think I would rather two post holes per post, I know people gush about how easy it is to build so this makes me feel dumb but I find when putting the second coil in I always kinda move the first one all outta place. I still LOVE that RDA soooo much. 100% in my top three drippers of all time.

That is exactly how the build on the Petri is for me. I think the Velocity has the two post holes for two posts NAILED! That way makes much more sense to me and it keeps them out of the way of one another. Maybe I should get a Velocity? I can't believe I am going to say this but I like the build better on the Tug than on the Petri. Wow. Didn't see that one coming.

If you haven't yet, try the tug with a wide bore drip tip, makes a huge difference and Yep, it's cerakoted.

Oh, 86 the stock tip? But I love that feeling of their drip tip. Hmmm...I will. I dunno, I really like the Tug in spite of how I may seem but I get caught up in what these things are being sold for. 2 Tugs for one SXmini M-Class? Not seeing the justification.

Yea, I like the drip tip too because it matches but it's too restrictive. I may try and drill it out one of these days. 90 bucks nowadays is pretty expensive for what it is, I think a lot of the price is just paying for the brand like pretty much anything else but I've only bought them when they are having the sales, got my last one for 65 bucks on 4th of July. Actually I got a lot more than that but it was a mistake on Flawless part lol

What do you feel would be a fair price for these drippers, just curious. The Tug, Petri and uhhhh The Stumpy

Fair? Uhh...maybe like $70. But I'd be lying if I didn't say that I think even lower was "fair" (maybe in the range of the Vector), but I think these are both US manufactured and I know that brings the price up. I think $90-100 is asking a lot (but at LEAST the Tug comes with a tip. That's a plus, but I'd prefer seeing >$20 off to not have the tip). I mean, the Tug and the Petri are both roughly the same price as the Zenith. And you may not have any interest in it, but there is a whole lot more to that than the others.

p.s. The same goes for the Stumpy. That dadgum little bleepin' delrin tip was over $20 bucks!

I agree, I agree. Ive been watching reviews on the Origen V3. I may get around to getting one, thats a pricey piece but I have always wanted an Origen of some sort and its available at my local shop so who knows. Got a a few drippers on the way and maybe a few more but I may get around to getting one soon.

The Orgiens are pure class!

The thing is I don't know that there's any dripper out there right now that really justifies a $90 or more price tag. Maybe the Revolt just cause of the materials involved but then again that one has a spinning center post issue so maybe it's not worth the asking price.

I have a clone of The Stumpy on the way. Yeah, yeah, I know some people don't like clones, I buy both authentic and clones. Too bad. There's no way I was going to pay $90 for an atty I'm 99.9% sure is going to vape identically to the Derringer or any other small atty. If I like it, I'll probably get the authentic. If not, at least I'm only out $10.

This one is a bit quirky and on the high side of the price scale, but the Apollo by Leo is my all time favorite dripper. The truly unique build deck gives you multiple options for building coils. No posts at all creates an exceptionally smooth vape at any wattage, and the domed cap produces better flavor than anything else I've tried. Side and or under coil direct air flow, and easily works with a squonk box. My preferred build is a dual coil at around 0.4 ohms on mechanical squonkers. I got my first around 8 months ago and have tried dozens of other atties since, but I always compare them to the Apollo and have not found anything that comes close.
