busted screw on one post -_-
a friend's o-atty....
for the price with this components hmmmmmm, considering i know him as OC on his things.....

Wow... If that had happened on This rda ...

$10.40 Odis Atty Styled RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - 316 stainless steel / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

... I wouldn't be Happy. But I could deal with it.

If that happened on a $155 rda that I had to spend an Extra 20 Bucks for a BF Pin, well, I think I would be Shouting Blue Thunder .......

I dunno - even if I didn't think it was kinda fugly (the way the drip tip's got a neck, and I don't dig the 2-tone - especially on the ring) - I'd still HAVE to see the deck to know if I was interested.
Like, is the squonk hole flush at bottom or sticking up?
How's the air come in - there's something going on in there - almost looks 4 "channels" per side for air?
And also -
Is that standard 510 drip tip to swap it out?
And what exactly does "anti spit designed" mean? If there's a splash screen, can I take it out (haven't had one of those I liked yet)

No, I didn't notice that!
that's a knockout for me - I don't have any mods fat enough for that to look good. lol

Did you Notice the Diam of the AF Ring?

I like the Concept of a Reduce Chamber. But a 26mm AF Ring is kinda a Deal Breaker in that Things that hang over my Mods Bugs me.

That, and I don't like Gold Tones on Vape Hardware.

May your camels walk backwards through the snows of Siberia & your goats get lost in the Scottish highlands.
* sits here looking and pondering, hoping he doesn't drool * I might stretch that ~$25 limit on atties for something like a Flying Saucer, note, might. It does look hinky & kinky, it is evil though, evil in the fashion of Care Bears(tm & copyright). You're trying to drag me off to the dog house for getting all la la headed over shiny toys. Awe, well. shaking my head, chuckling, grinning*

Just cuz it came with a squonk pin, I ordered one of these a while ago. It was delayed - shipped later by itself and just came in. And so far, it's filling a little gap quite nicely. Kinda surprised I'm still using it a few hours later.

First off - this thing is weird. It's a "transformer" because you can build it...
- as a dripper - the pos pin is 2-peices adjustable. Or you can pop that out, and put in the squonk pin. Nothing special, could be bigger bore - but it's doing fine.
- As a no-post flat deck. Stick leads in those holes and tighten from the side - like a Nuppin. I kind of dreaded seeing juice pour out the holes in the side - but so far the screws are keeping it back
- with the short top tube pictured above, or a taller one also provided
- Why would you want the taller one? If you put the Velocity-style posts into those holes instead of your coil!
- Yep - you can convert ("TRANSFORM") it into a Velocity-post atty.

The only thing that is NOT flexible is the damned top - there's no 510 adapter-cap. There should be.

Fortunately, I'm OK with this bore and height tip.

So here are the surprises:
- not leaking
- Airflow is right up my alley - I'm running it 70-80% open and getting plenty. A nice change from recent stuff like the Narda and O-16 that I always wish had more air.
- Air from above the coil, I don't know why, but it is BANGING flavor - maybe some combination of what I'm running in it:

- I never liked a Clapton. I've tried a few times - and I hate the lag of more metal, and I often get a lot of popping/spitting, and I don't taste any advantage over my usual straight duals. In this, I threw in a 0.5 ohm 3mm store-bought Clapton I had lying around. Spread it a tiny bit and it's reading 0.65. That's ONE coil, mounted postless, and low above the deck. And threw it on my one regulated squonker. Wick is just a LITTLE more than usual - but still just lying on the deck, wrapping around a bit, but not covering every bit of deck space.

And it is a hot, swampy, moist, flavorful vape. At 37 watts.

Like $25 at Fasttech, SS black or grey.

Rockin' the Tokugawa tonight. This thing is a bit of a monster!

It let's multi-strand coils shine. I won't call it a flavor RDA, but it sure can produce a bleep ton of it with even simple twisted wire. I might be heading over to Lighting Vapes to get some fancy wire. LOL. Because it tastes like nothing with regular builds (IME).

Its definitely hefty but I've Been placing large 3.5mm single coils in there and really enipying the flavor. For me its a bit of an inbetweener as it produces good flavor and vapor. The chamber is much to large to compete with your regular flavor atties however with a nice size fused clapton /alien/staple it can come dam close and it produces a much denser larger volume Vape then our beloved flavor attys also. For me its a fun change of pace and a very quirky deck that's different to build on and a nice mix of flavor and vapor.

That is exactly my sentiment. It is fun!

So, figured this would be the best thread for this.
Did anybody else hear about Hoberto closing up shop for good with Hobo Customs? His website is offline now also.

Beyond sad to hear that he is done with the Vaping world in producing RDAs. The man was a genius and brought us a ton of amazing gear. Shame to see him go.

Yeah, I saw that too. Sad day. I'm waiting to see all his gear sky rocket in prices now. I loved all his rda's, minus the Drifter, but he was definitely one of the best owners of a vape company that I've dealt with at least.
