I had to (kinda) leave FB for this kinda vape stuff. Too much, just too much of the extremes. All love or all hate.
FB can be terrible, especially the high end groups. It's like reddit in that a sort of hive mind develops. I still read and participate in individual modder groups but I ignore the catch all groups like DAV.

The prices of these attys are just a turn off for me considering the Hadaly is $70.50 and ridiculously easy to get your hands on. I don't see me paying $150 for another atty ever again.

I wouldn't say the O-Atty is a total ripoff of the NarDA but come on guys the two are quite similar.

Quite similar, yes. But so were the Veritas and the Marquis, but just like here, they vape differently (although much more differently than the other two in question.)

In my book, similarities in form do not make two atties similar (in the way that matters most to me). If that were the case, I wouldn't have bought another atty after an IGO-W. LOL

Agree: Absurd price :thumb:
Disagree: "Different spin on the NarDA" :nah:

:2c:

I don't think the O-Atty is anything like a Narda, each has it kind of build that make is work well (they both do for sure). WAY less spit back with the O-Atty to boot.

Price was Facebook hype driven IMHO. If there were not rapid people hyping it so much it could have ended up being a $70-$80 rda and made it a purchase many would have been good with.
Seriously try to tell me this isn't a slightly different spin on the Narda

I understand your point but the IGO W seems like an extreme example. Three posts is about all it had in common with most RDAs that came after it. The only difference I see between the O-Atty and NarDA is the downward airflow. I'll take your word that they vape super differently as I'm not going to shell out $150+ to find out for myself.

Yep and a totally obscene price.

As I mentioned I have some $100 + RDA'S and tanks so I'm certainly not against paying for quality and innovation. But with the O-atty I'm going to pick up a Clone just on principle alone.

TOTally diff.
Horizontal airholes vs. vertical airholes.
Wide curvy air thingy vs. tall angular air thingy.
Big wide bad screws vs tiny little bad screws.

They ARE both over-hyped and under-stocked tho.

From my experience with both authentic versions, I say they do vape differently. They DO look alike, but that is where it ends. It might be better to say the O-Atty took what could have been the v2 of the Narda. There were too many limiting factors (airflow mainly) on the Narda which held it back, at least I think so.

Both are great attys - my Narda always has a .8 coil and it a wonderful restricted lung draw where the O-Atty always as a .3 coil(s) that provide a much less restrictive draw and an abundance of vapor. Both have great flavor to me.

If I had it to do over again, would I pay 100-150 for either? The answer is most likely I'd be buying a Catfish version ;)

Not super differently, but differently enough for me to be able to easily part with the Nar after getting my first successful build in the O.

As for price, I do not like the price of it nor do I want to be here to defend it. But damn do I love the atty.

How I reconcile it: I got my overpriced atty on an under-priced iStick. :)

We'll just have to agree to disagree with my example of the IGO-W (or was it the Patriot. I get confused. LOL)

There were a silly amount of atties, many that came out well after the IGO-W, that effectively only differed from it in airflow holes, be it size, or placement (nothing a drill couldn't fix).

These were the easiest to remember... and there were more. I am feeling silly now thinking of how much I researched which of these to get.

No, that's not just camera angle - it's a 70mm RDA.
Dude needs to squonkify this thing,
Just hook up at least a 30 ml bottle to it...I mean it's got 8mm 12-wrap 18-gauge coils - and he wicks it with like a whole cotton ball...

Welp, you just made it so I don't have to post a pic of the Chaos RDA. That thing straight looks like a sombrero on my mod!

But this thing. Damn! 70 mm?

I'd be lying though if I said I wouldn't try a rip off of it. hahaha

Edit: Wow. Just scanned through the videos.

At the end of the day vaping is subjective and everyone has an opinion. I think its funny people feel the need to so vigorously tell people what they should or should not be feeling, vaping or spending there money on. Did I feel that the O Atty was overpriced yes.... Did I still buy it yes.

To be honest most of these small form factor single coil RDAs perform more or less very similarly. I love the Narda and I also love the O Atty. The Hadaly on the hand I only like. To be fair it vapes similiar to the Narda or O Atty but it just does not give me the pop the aforementioned two do.

My DnV Split RDA/RDTA came in and I have the single coil insert in and I'm running a .8 ss316l fused Clapton in it. I have it with the BF pin in on my DNA 75 squonker and I am loving it. It was a bit pricey but I am glad I jumped on it. Also I feel like this thing was made for a squonker as with wicks in it cant hold more then a ml of juice.

I'm running it 28watts and 420 f in tc and I am getting a killer warm and dense vape (Royals Raspberry Custard has never tasted so good) and its so cool to squonk and watch it fill up the juice chamber.

I have had a real moment of clarity God I love vaping and I am such a ....ing nerd no wonder I scare guys away 8/

You didn't like it sin ...? I love the fact that I can go so long between squonks and the flavor is great !!!! I hate the chuff cap it comes with stock but it feels solid and despite the small juice chamber its still nice and petite.

Eh, yes and no. At first I liked it but now, not so much. I think it's built great, and the way it squonks is kind of ingenious the way they have the over fill hole on top. But in my opinion, squonking with it is kinda redundant lol. I switched to squonking to get away from tanks and rta's and to have a squonking rta just makes me scratch my head a bit. I tried getting rid of it for an o-atty but it didn't work.

I totally get that, I mean it vapes more like an RDA then anything else in my opinion but when squonking the tank is kind of a weird design and is kind of counter to the point of squonking.

I guess why that dosnt bother me is the tank is so damn small that it still functions like an RDA and it is still maintains a tiny form factor while giving me extra time before pushing the bottle again.

To be sure its a strange design but I think that's why it turns my tassel so.

Turns my tassel lol. Yeah you get it, that's exactly what I can't get past. It's nice for sure but just not for me. I barely vape those kind of set ups anymore so for me the time between the on board squonk bottle still being filled and the tank being filled as well was just too much, I ended up wasting juice. I've been selling most of my line up, that's why I haven't really been around.

I remember you mentioning you trying to scale back a bit You have been at this much longer then me and I can totally see how after awhile burning out on it is inevitable especially if your not happy with where the industry is headed and considering our/your thing is almost a niche within a niche that has become heavily dependant on scarcity and limited runs/closed FB Groups/f5 wars/hype and high price tags for me its one of those things I love to hate.

As long as you dont leave us completely Sin I guess I can allow it haha

seriously though you can't leave or give up  the only way it is allowed is when we have to pry your "hemo" dicodes hybrid stabilized wood/resin squonker topped with a platinum narda inset in a swavorski crystal beauty ring out of your cold lifeless fingers

Just picked up the SS and Black Mose, came in Saturday. I tried out the Clone and was very impressed so I picked up two Authentics. Only device I have that is truly leak proof, to test it out I overdripped so much I actually submerged the coils and it still wouldn't leak. Awesome flavor due to bottom air and being a Pinoy device from MCM excellent build quality.

Now this is truly worth paying $110 for quality "and" an original design.
