The coils aren't very easily replaced on an atomizer. It's very easy to render an atty useless simply by trying to get it apart. The wires that the nicrome coil are soldered to are almost always next to impossible to get out of the ceramic cup. There is mesh that surrounds the cup that has to be removed and then replaced in such a way that you can get it all back in the atty tube. The list goes on but it can be done if your very careful and patient.

The modders section of the forum should have a few walkthroughs on rebuilding an atty if I remember correctly. The only difference is you have the spike plate for the tank which makes it a little easier.

If you're intersted in rebuilding attys you may want to look into something like The Bulli A2-T Rebuildable atomizer. These work better than the regular tank atty's IMO, and are VERY easy to rebuild to your own taste.
