I honestly hope he is..or in the ER at least..trying to picture doing a kidney ultrasound on oneself would be interesting to say the least.

as an RN and one who's had a major kidney infection two years ago that damn near killed me because "oh I can self treat this" trust me...get to a hospital/doctor's office and INSIST we investigate the source of this pain (lower back right and left of the spine that might radiate medially if it's stones) but some stones are very minute but still will hurt like the devil to pass. Or infection, I've never had a bladder infection so after visiting my physician we were on a wait and see a dip stick reveled no abnormalities. I'm assuming you did a dip stick OP?? But it just bypassed that and until it was very bad no bacterial was detected in the urine, once it looked like coffee though yeah then I was believed I had a kidney infection at the ER at 2am.

because I know this pain is my body's way of saying "hey something is wrong".

maybe you lifted the ultra sound and hurt your back? *lol* that can happen as as you know because most medical appliance sales folks think they have a medical degree too *rolly eyes* that it can be referred pain.

either way GO to physician or ER and assert yourself as well as you have here in the forums OP.:glare:

best of luck!! and happy New Year :toast:

hahaha Great advice from an expert!

What I find interesting is how a "scientist" (Kurt the chemist) handled that previous topic from the poster back in 2012. The responses were compassionate.....There was none of this high school hallway ganging up and ridicule going on.
Look at the first few pages of this thread. Everyone suggested that he see a doctor soon. He then started back tracking, self-diagnosing and finding reasons not to seek medical advice. He was even guided to free help on the phone and Internet that's part of his healthcare system. He got angry and left because he didn't get the response he sought. THAT'S when the jokes began because he exhibited classic troll behavior. There may actually be something wrong with his kidneys, but his behavior caused doubt.
Bottom line is, (as he was told several times on this thread) don't ask an Internet vaping forum to diagnose your kidney pain.

I've been vaping now for over 5 years at 18mg, the last 2 years with VW device and a Kayfun. In Aug. I was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure by my primary care doctor and referred to a specialist. I thought, please don't let it be vaping related. I told the specialist about my vaping and he didn't seem worried. He just said the jury was still out on the safety aspects of vaping. He simply changed my blood pressure medication, and I am happy to say that in my follow up in Dec. kidney function was back to normal. I don't even need any follow on screening other than my regular yearly checkups with my PCP. My point of this is that everyones body reacts differently to foreign substances but other meds are far more likely to be the offending culprit before it being vaping related.
