Re-wicking Protank-type heads

I'm about to start re-wicking my Protank type heads. I hear cotton is good to use, because it wicks and vapes well. I have also seen bamboo thread. Is this good to use? Just getting started with wicking ... comments and suggestions are welcomed. Thanks. JD

I like cotton as well, cheesecloth is perfect, about 28 to 30 strands is right. I use unbleached and simply rinse it in warm water, let it dry and use it for wicks. Just remember, when using cotton do the dry burn BEFORE you wick the coil - burnt cotton is terrible tasting and, NEVER even fire it with a dry cotton wick anywhere near the coil.

This is what I use.

Just use the last strand you need to spiral around the rest of the wick to help hold it together, makes it easier to work with that way.

I just use pinches of cotton off a qtip lol.

I cut out a square of cheese cloth, roll it up, and wrap my.coil around it...has worked for me so far...
