Hi all, my atomizer wire burnt out and i re wired it with a single strand of speaker wire, it works ok. Any dangers i should be aware of?

Copper is deadly to insects, will kill fish if you use it in an aquarium, and probably isn't a good thing to inhale into your lungs. Order some nichrome and kanthal. Better still, a few new atomizers or cartomizers.
When they burn out, most of us just toss them like an old pack of cigs.
