Re-wrap Batteries??

This is regarding VTC5's, but the ideas are the same. You look at the battery and check it against a known good one. The other way is to create a discharge curve and compare that to a known good VTC4 curve.

My preference is to buy only from known good suppliers so I don't have to worry about counterfeits. Who are your suppliers?

Two came from a local store in town and two came from smoktek. The two from smoktek seem fine and measure a .4 voltage drop under load like stated by some other people for Sony VTC4 (I believe they said that was at .5 ohms and my PVD was at .487 when I measured voltage drop to check). My other two batteries however have a much bigger voltage drop and I don't know if that means they are fake or they have been cycled a lot before I bought them and were not even close to being new.

That would be a serious indication to me that these batteries are not the same or have been used a lot. They have higher internal resistance and will not handle the same current draw that good batteries will.
