Hey all, first post here.

I've been vaping for a whopping 8 days!! Started with a few Blu disposables. Then I got my joyetech 510 starter kit 2 days ago - haven't had an analog since. As much as I love the small form factor of the 510, it's not keeping me satisfied. The only time a really get a solid vape and throat hit is on the first 3 or 4 hits of a freshly filled cartridge. After that it's just not very satisfying... so I'm moving on! I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get an ego Twist battery. I know I'll still be able to use all the rest of the 510 parts, but I believe I also want to move away from cartridges. I think I'm gonna go the dripping route, and also start experimenting with clearos and cartos. Anyone have any success stories about moving away from the 3-piece design? What's keeping you satisfied?

Cheers,

Nick

I've also been using the Twists/Novas and other various clearos for a couple months. I'd like to get a good APV and there are some nice ones on the market but the Twists are pretty good for now and I'm curious if we're going to see anything interesting with the DNA 12 and DNA 20 chips in the upcoming months.

Otherwise, I'll probably get a Provari. Tried and true. Very well built by most accounts.

Welcome to ECF and congrats on 8 days.

The outdated "tank" system (atomizer+ cartridge) is not very popular. I would imagine it's the delivery system (tank) that's not working on your PV.
so I'm moving on! I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get an ego Twist battery.
The Twists are good but the Spinners have advantages IMO. I own both.

Currently using an ego twist with vivinova's and ce2's.. Once the zmax comes to canada (canvape will be carrying these he says...) I will get that with smoktech rebuildable tanks. Ya Provari would be nice but can you justify $200+ when there is an equivalent device out there for $120? Im also aware of the problems with the zmax inaccurate meter readings but Im not so concerned with numbers and only concerned with taste.

Here's a link for Spinners: VISION Spinner eGo VV I haven't used them but I just ordered one last night, for a backup, and for work. Also would like to see how well they work since Twists and Spinners are what everyone recommends as a decent VV device.

Yes :p I havent tried all the devices out there, but based on what others have said, there isnt a equivalent device to the Provari atm (well except for a Darwin, but they are hard to get.) I can say my Provari was well worth the price and investment, but I also realize it isn't for everyone :)

Lucky you owning a Provari. I've had my Spinners for 2 days and really like them. Dials are firm- not loose, not tight. Bought the 1300's and really appreciating the extra 300 mah. Still own the Twists as I told the potential buyer, a friend, to buy the Spinners...presently loaning the Twists to him.

I'll give you the same recommendation I give everybody, because this is what worked for me, and I'm a former 510 system user.

My vaping tastes have evolved radically over the past few years but I've found the "GO-GO" Starter Kit a good bet for the following reasons;

* Cost - $80.00 for complete two eCig starter kit with (five) pre-filled Cartos: GO-GO KIT

* Batteries last up to two days between charges (depending upon how heavily you vape)

* Cartomizers - (GO-CARTS hold 3ml of Nic Juice & Go-Tanks can hold up to 2 ml. (I vape all day on 2-3 ml) - The Cartos are really no muss, no fuss but once you've acclimated to vaping you should really switch to the GO-Tanks (GO GO PREMIUM TANKS) as the vapor, flavor and throat hit are unparalleled. I really do insist that in time you do this :thumb:

Be sure to order the PRE-FILLED Cartos when you re-order. (Five pre-filled Cartos will come with your Kit but you'll need to specify the flavor and strength. I recommend 24 mg nic strength so you resist the urge to go back to analogs. I also recommend the flavor "EASY-BORO-USA Mix" as I personally believe this tastes most like regular Tobacco. I loved Menthol when I was smoker... hate it with vaping, so this natural Tobbacco flavor would most likely suit you. You can obtain that here: EASY LIQUID 10ML BOTTLES 24MG

Wishing you the best of Luck.... hope you find your Vaping Nirvana as I did :vapor:

I progressed just as you did. Started with the Blus, Ego atomizer and cartridges (yeah, those suck), then a low resistance dripping atomizer. I am now on an Ego Twist, Vivi Nova minis for my on the go vaping, and a Phoneix rebuildable atomizer for dripping. I have settled on the Vivi Nova for my tanks, as the larger one holds 3 ml and the mini holds 2ml, plenty to cover on my commute. I use the Phoenix whenever it's convenient to drip, and it holds 12-15 drops, enough for 20 minutes of vaping. I have a Lavatube, which only sees use at home because it's so big. I like the rebuildable aspect of the Phoenix and Vivi Nova, and the Lavatube allows me to check the resistance easily.

try vivi nova minni ver2.5 or vivi nova v3 tank you wont be dissapointed-- with 1.8 atty heads... with a ego twist its a good combo-- if you can afford it buy a provari-you wont regret it in the long run--it will be the last mod you will have to buy-- if you cant afford it get a lambo-or epicstorm9 lava tube v.2) they are vented - and work pretty good- get protested battary imr 18650 2000amh ect .....

thanks for all the responses y'all. I'm kinda flip-floppin' a bit right now. After 4 days on the 510, I've developed what I feel is proper e-cig technique - and i'm getting some great results. There's an art to this that requires a delicate touch. Gonna give this kit a few more weeks til I get through all the samples I ordered.

BUT, a Twist or Spinner is def on the horizon. Still unsure where I'm heading with tanks, attys, etc.

eGo CE5 C-Twist 1000 mah Kit

$45 for the kit above is a great deal.

2x 1000mah ego twist batteries
2x ce5 clearomizers
1x USB charger

Add some juice to push the price over $50 and get free shipping. You will not find a better deal on a starter kit. Order fast because stock is limited and they will sell out.
