I love how fast this forum responds and how many responsive you guys give, thanks a lot.

So I'm looking at the linksBb177 posted and the one Incognito posted.

What are the difference in those two products? I guess I know less than I thought I did. So let me ask some really basic questions.

The battery is the largest part. The one that sometimes has an LED correct?
The cartomizer is the smaller part that you draw from correct?
In link Incognito posted it mentions a drip tip color is that the gold band in the pic on the site where the two pieces connect?

tank system vs drip? No clue here. As far as I knew there was one type where you have to replace the little juice cartridges and one where you add the juice yourself. Are these those two types? Isn't replacing the carts more expensive?

The links we posted are the same product, just different suppliers, I can see how that may have been confusing. Use mine.lol j/k either is fine. As long as you don't burn up your carto (vaping it with no liquid in it) you can refill them many times, clean them and keep refilling, so as long as you don't buy prefilled cartos and then throw them away like they are one and done, it's not very expensive.

Found this for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0-nj0oelu4&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I agree that an ego may be a little too much for a newbie, although I use one most of the time.

I started with the Bloog, and still use them often. They are slim like a cigarette, and can be had in different lengths, with the longer ones holding more charge. They also have portable chargers so you can buy 2 or 3 batteries, and keep at least one charged at all times.

For a newbie, it is a very simple system. Charge it up, attach a pre-filled cartomiser and vape away.

They have a trial kit with a 78mm battery, 2 cartomisers (menthol or Red), and a USB charger, plus a $10.00 coupon towards your next purchase from Bloog. One kit for $19.99, 2 kits for $24.99. Extra filled cartomisers are 5 for $10.99.

At these prices, you really can't go wrong. A good, cheap way to get your feet wet.

ha ha! DamagePlan, there are so many eggheads here, you are going to get overloaded with info when asking innocent questions like that. Best thing for you is to head over to Wikipedia and have a read for 'e-cig'.

Don't be afraid to get your feet wet, life's too short to play safe all the time. You'll probably end up buying more stuff than you need out of curiosity anyway. With real cigs at the price they are, you'll not be doing too much damage buying the wrong stuff in comparison.

Okay so I'm getting that starter kit.
Can someone suggest which dual coil carto spares I should get?
Also what about the strength of juice? I smoke a pack of Marlboro lights now.

For the dual coils I'd go with the Smoktech XL (if they have XL) 1.6 ohm (or so; using 2x3.2ohm coils in parallel, I think). I've used these and they produce a nice, cool vapor. Personally for most juices I prefer the Smoktech XL single coil 1.7 ohm, warmer vape & seem to put a slower drain on both battery & liquid, but both are nice. Both (if XL) hold quite a bit more juice than Boge LR 2.0 ohm (also a great choice). Also I'd suggest getting 1 or 2 306 dripping atomizers and a drip tip. The 306 uses the same threading as the 510 so will screw right into your battery, and this will allow you to test a few drops of a liquid before filling a carto with it.

As for juice strength, I would suggest getting a few sample packs in small sized bottles, preferably from several different vendors, from 1.2% up to 2.4% (these will probably be expressed as "from 12mg to 24mg" or some such). I'd also stay around 70PG/30VG to 80PG/20VG to begin with. You are almost certain to find a few flavors you really like and quite a few you don't, at least for now. Some of those you don't like will probably surprise you later so just stash them back for awhile.

Best of luck, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:
