Hi, I'm 20 years young and I've had the breathtaking habit since I was 16. I've always been overly obsessed with my health, but unfortunately cigarettes have found their way to grab me in various ways. I'm not an avid smoker, but I do smoke when I'm surrounded by my peers. Or stressed due to school, daily tasks, or driving.

The past 2 years of lighting up has really gotten to me. Obsessively worrying about my lungs is something that has taken a devastating tole of my sense of well being and even to the point of severe depression. I only drink bottled water and other essential "healthy" beverages. I avoid soft drinks at all costs! That should tell you how overly protective I am with my health.

With me being so young I'm ready to quit once and for all. I came to this revelation after playing with my nephew and cousins in the yard. There I was, 20 years old and struggling to even occasionally jog along beside them. My throat and lungs feeling overwhelmingly sore, gasping for air every second, this really got to me! As I reflected and recalled, I noted I was smoking at age 16 and performed well Physical Education. I said, "That was only a few years ago!"

I've tried the gum and held the pencil but something was just missing. this of course led me to fail in the process. I'm fixing to order my first E-Cigarette from Cignot. And I'd like to get some of your recommendations in the treatment process.

Suppliers of "safe" liquid flavors and the expected things I will need to know to make sure my Joye 510 is working at optimal performance at all times.

While I'm working to cure my habit, I'd like to start running again. Am I going to be able to jog while on an E-Cigarette? Will my lung performance be hindered at all while on treatment? Thanks so much for hearing my story. Any incite is surely appreciated! :)

Yes you can jog and excercise if you use a PV (though not 'at the same time' lol). Many users here have reported better lung function (look in the general E smoking htread 'success stories' for some of them). The juices from the 'ECF Approved suppliers' are a good place to start your searches for liquids as is the E Liquid reviews' thread.
May I suggest you start with as low a nic level as you think you can deal with? You are an occasional smoker, probably not that addicted to nicotine and more to the social aspect. You can get a little bit of nic juice to satisfy any cravings you might get, but I don't think you're going to crave TOO badly if you supplement the 'habit' part which is the 'smoking' action. You might be slightly addicted to the other chemicals in cigarettes as well.
No juice is going to taste 'like a cigarette' btw. Only a cigarette tastes like a cigarette. You can get 'tobacco flavored juice' but there are many other flavors you can get, much nicer than tobacco :)
You will probably find it takes a bit of experimentation to get the flavor and nic strength that suits you personally - everyone is different.

I concur with everything that CaptJay suggest..... I would just like to add that every e-cig has a learning curve and you need to give yourself ample time to adjust, as well. Practice your patience a little here and when you are in dire need... don't forget to lean on this site, as your friend. That is one of the best things about this site because no matter how alone you may feel in your struggle to leave the coffin nails behind, you can always come here to the ECF and vent your frustrations, ask questions, or just find a shoulder to lean on.

Good Luck to You,
Tom

to know if it is performing right.. it is a learning thing.. you just have to play around with them a little until you get it down..

it will help with breathing.. i quit over pack a day a bit over 3 months ago breathing is better..

as far as the juice.. if you are into the healthy stuff check out nhaler.com look at the lung juice.. never tasted any of it so do not know how good it is.. you would have to ask in their forums to ppl that have tried them..

You are probably doing yourself the biggest favor of your life by getting off analogs. You indeed have found a great support system with the ECF. Friendly bunch and always willing to help. Get off smoking now while you are young. Trust me. The monkey on your back turns into a really big nasty guerilla. Thank god I found the vape! Good luck to you and don't stop trying.

Well we're all different, but with me: 60+ and I can almost swim the length of a pool without taking a breath.:)

Before vaping, I was lucky to make it from one side to the other.8-o
