Has anyone bought these coils built with ceramic wicks for protanks? Treated READYxWICK

i ordered them and screwed them on to the base of my pro tank aerotank and pt3. The problem is when I tried to screw it on to the tank itself. The wicks are too long on the sides and they get caught when trying to screw to the tank body. Therefore I had to cut them on the sides. What worried me however was when I cut them, I could see a lot of ceramic wick pieces (almost powder like) keep falling out on the sides. No matter how much I pulled them out, it still kept breaking off. Now I'm worried I might inhale some of this stuff if it keeps falling off inside the tank and mixes with the liquid.

any thoughts would be appreciated!

1. ONLY source for readyXwick is RBA supplies.

2. Jeremy trademarked his treatment process for xc-116 and markets it as readyXwick.

3. I don't know anything about the vendor you linked or if he actually uses Jeremy's product.

Maybe someone will come along that's familiar with the coil rebuilder. Good luck.

This is an example of what UNTREATED XC-116 will do instantly when you cut it. It is a great test to see if your XC-116 is treated or not. If it is NOT TREATED it will instantly fray and the end will unravel. DO NOT USE your XC-116 if it does this. It is NOT treated and NOT healthy to use for any purpose.

This picture was taken of a freshly cut untreated piece of XC-116 Nextel Ceramic Sleeving.

After some research I am concerned,,,Please go to the official website for readyXwick and look at the pictures of how readyXwick should look when you cut it, Let us know something.. READYxWICK?
This is why I questioned the assertion of the rebuilder/reseller that they are using readyXwick.

I honestly can't tell if it frays like that in the pictures because the ends of the coil are not extremely long and they are inserted into the metal base. I did however ask awhile back if readyxwick would be willing to sell me kanger coil heads with their readyxwick and they said they don't do that, but referred me to vaporheads. So I'm guessing they do use the genuine readyxwicks. As far as flavor, they were amazing in the beginning, much more flavor than the stock kanger coils but it gave an off taste within the first 30 minutes. Maybe it's because I cut the ends. Contacted the owner and he said that I should never cut the ends with scissors. He recommended that I tuck them inside the tank when putting in the coil heads, but that's much easier said than done

This sounds like they are not treated properly or even trimmed to the correct length. If they are too long, tucking them inside the tank would be impossible in a MPT2. Not sure about the full size PT's as I've never used one.

I understand that some vapers don't want to or can't rebuild for whatever reason, but this doesn't seem legit. I'm pretty sure that almost anyone can learn to at least re-wick with cotton, which seems to be the best wick material for a BCC anyway.

I have semi rebuilt with cotton. Haven't built my own coils yet but used the stock coils with cotton and they work well. I was keen to these because the readyxwicks are supposed to last a very long time, which cotton does not.
