I totally get this. I married and ex smoker. I have to make sure I don't smell like smoke before going to bed so he can sleep. UGH I am so happy my hair doesn't smell like smoke and I don't have to make him wait for me every place we go to smoke.

I married a man who's never had a drag off a cigarette or anything in his whole life. (He's so clean he gets drunk on half a glass of wine LOL) He's never really cared if I smoke or not (didn't even bring it up when I got pregnant) I never knew what to think about this: on the one hand I like that he doesn't ever nag me or make me feel bad or dirty:), on the other hand doesn't he even care that I'm killing myself slowly?!?

Wow, $480 on supplies in a single pop, though i get it, and very sorry to hear about NY's ban... GL to all you New Yorkers out there, last time i was through NYC analogs were $7 a pack.. and that was a while back, i can only imagine now. If i lived up North i would be making the cig - to e cig switch based on economics alone.

I can deff see how vaping COULD get rather expensive, but with a lil self control and constant reminder of why i started this, i think in the long run this will be a savings over analogs.

I would have broken even within 7 days, but with the proposed ban on pv's in NY state I dropped a whopping $480 to keep a years supply of juice, attys, and lastly but far from least my eGo! I wanted to crackify my 510

Now I dont feel so bad, see my signature8-o lol self control? I think I can... I think I can......yeah right. I will be okay till the next coupon code comes out!!:p

It took us about two months before we actually began seeing a profit. But once the hardware and juice was pretty well stocked up it was just a matter of maintaining supplies such as juice and attys.
Of course there was that occasional gouge in the profit line when we jumped from the RN4081 SmokeStik to the M401 to the Joye 510 and then the Janty eGo.

I like the idea of stuffing a jar with all the $ saved on analogs....might try that once I "break even". I too am spending my "saved" money on new juice flavs and I can see how this might be an obsession for awhile!

I'm also actually "pre-spending" my analog savings on a trip to Moab next week....

Round trip gas price from Seattle to Moab: $392.70 (41.3 packs of analogs)
$$ not spent on analogs for the trip: $85.50
My boyfriend not pitching a fit every time I need to pull over and suck an analog and then complaining that I smell like an ashtray: PRICELESS

That is a huge "hoot" for me... I'd tell my girlfriend (if I had one) who objected to the smell of my analogs to get outta my car and catch a ride with a non-smoker! (Incidentally, this attitude is probably why I don't have a girlfriend.) On a somewhat more serious note, even though I'm a confirmed hermit there is something to be said for having friends & loved ones actually embrace me.

I'm pretty much even, I managed to make the jump from tornado starter kit ( I got the small one cause I knew I'd do this ) to provari with only one inexpensive stop in-between ( madvapes vv box )

That is until next week when I drop money on the Odysseus iAtty2. I've managed to go from 1.5 pad to top of the line mod in a little over a month. My sig starts from the first day I didnt by a pack. Still bummed pretty hard from a few good friends. ( admittedly I bought 3 different friends a Pack out of gratitude. ) but the switch never has to be immediate. I don't think I could smoke a whole analog now if I tried. Though... And I'm ashamed to say it. Marlboro blacks come to the states soon and I've wanted to try one for a while. A friend of mine is gonna buy a pack to try them and let me bum one, but more than likely I'll just be lighting it for her, taking a drag or 2, and making a f**cked up face while I hand it back.

Additionally im happy to rub it in my parents faces that " all this ..... I've been buying " did end up working. And they've each spent more on cigs scice we all got ego kits, I'd like to repeat that. We all have kits. Theyve spent more money on cigs than I've spent on valuing supplies. And I have quite an impressive collection going if I don't say so myself.

My approach is to tell myself every day that I will resist the classified section and save $$. Then I find something that I really, really need and buy it. Then I feel guilty for purchasing and sell something.

Acknowledging that you have a problem is the first step, right?

I love my new hobby and feel like I've got nearly everything I need. Spent a fortune getting here but it's starting to slow down - got most of my "must haves" on the list - found some good juices. Funny thing is, at the end of the day, still not losing too much $$ when you factor in the savings from quitting analogs and have had a blast.
