Is it normal to have really bad e-cigarette days where you can't seem to get a good hit no matter what you do? I flooded the atty I don't know how many times trying to get a decent hit. The battery was newly charged, the atty is working..I tried 6 different ones. Nothing tasted right or really all that good and by nothing I mean, every liquid I have. I'm using an eGo and I'd catch myself not pushing the button right and when I did, talking such a long drag that the cut off happens and still not getting a good hit, then putting two drops on the atty and finding it flooded. NOTHING I did yesterday worked to the point that I was ready to say "Eff" it and have a cigarette (but I didn't). This morning, same thing, so far I've flooded it once :-(. I've tried various different types of fillers but have been dripping for the most part with no problems, until yesterday of course.

I've had nothing but a great experience to date since April and have been analog free since about the 13th of April or so but I'm so frustrated right now that its stressful. Why if its been working so well for me to this date, why can't I do nothing right all of a sudden? Why do none of the liquids taste good or the same?

OK..mini melt down over :-(.

I've had those kinda days.I don't have that model, but I would for sure take it all apart(I'm sure you have) and clean all contact points. One problem I ran into with my protege was over tightening the atty.Mine have a little bump in the bottom where they screw to the device,if u did tighten it down to hard you may have smashed this contact up into the atty.Mine were ruined when I did this but I did manage to pull the little bump back out a bit and use it til more 801's came in the mail.Other times whenI could not get a drag off my device I would blow the atty out and start over til I figured it out. You'll get it working again.I know it can be a pain but it's worth it.Good luck!!

Thanks for your reply uba!! The atty's seem to be working fine though. They get plenty hot so its got to be me (which is really no surprise to me). On my eGo, I don't see where there are any bumps, but I may be screwing them in too hard..I will check that. I'm just really frustrated right now. I never want to have a cigarette again.

Again, thanks so much for your reply!

I think this happens to everyone, or nearly everyone, at one point or another. I went through a week or so about a month ago where I couldn't seem to taste anything I was vaping. I went through all of my juices, trying everything, and still couldn't get any flavor. I cleaned my PV and all related items a dozen times, trying to find what the problem was. Ultimately, I found that for me, switching to a very flavorful juice unlike anything I had tried before was extremely helpful. I purchased some Atomic Cinnacide from Tasty Vapor and finally, I could taste something again. I used the Atomic Cinnacide exclusively for a couple or three days, then began trying some of my other juices again, and found I could taste them, and they tasted good again. It's almost like our tastebuds get numbed by exposure to the same flavors over and over again, and it takes something different to wake them back up. I really like AC, but I try not to vape it very often so I can fall back to that again to get my sense of taste re-awakened.

Hi,
I'm going to let you all know that if you fill the cart up and put it on, you need to hold the eGo up a little bit (gravity pulls liquid down).
This happened to me but I also filled the cart half way, put in my filler and dripped the liquid on the filler until just moist.
When I put the cart on the atty, I lined up the 'oval' shape of cart to the 'oval' shape of the coil box inside atty. After this, I would point the eGo up a little so not all the juice would go into the atty and still do this after 7 months of vaping. Became second nature for me. Let the wick take the juice it needs and as the vapor just starts to get less point the battery down then Horizontle again..
This works as you know the Laws of Gravity! :) :)

I hate to ask, because I'm sure you did it,but did you blow the shipping oil they put in attys out before you used it?That will taste like the poo every time!

Yes, when they were new, after the first one when I realized I needed to do that. I've tried all my atty's which I have cleaned now twice using a method I found here, but can't find again for the life of me to link to, which is using Efferdent 3 minute denture cleaner and then rising very well in warm water and drying overnight. I don't think any of my atty's are bad. I think its probably more an operator error, over and over and over. From lack of pushing the button right, to over dripping, etc. I just don't understand why. I've had no problems doing it right for over a month or more and now all of a sudden, I can't seem to do it right one time? WTF (excuse the language please ).

Ughh..sorry for the whining.

If your battery connection is clean & dry and you've blown out the flooded attys and are still not getting flavor, but getting TH and vapor then it is not the equipment.

If your atty gets hot, but there is a very slight flavor, no vapor and no TH, then it is flooded and adding more will just make it worse. Best to blow it out, real well, and do a quick dry burn. Then blow it out again and try another dry burn. Then try 2 drops and a vape to see what happens.

Good to know it does definitely happen and its not just me. I don't have anything like Atomic Cinnacide though I have Buttered Rum that I don't use often because I find a bit too strong, although tasty. I will give that a shot. I'll also look to see if I can mix something new that isn't similar to anything else I've already gotten or mixed and maybe make it stronger. Thank you for the suggestion..I really appreciate it!

I've found that sometimes when I get really dehydrated my taste buds seem to dull. Drink lots of fluids and they seem to come back. I also find that when I drink something with an artificial sweetner in it (I tend to make my own iced tea throughout the day) that some of the sweetness transfers to the taste of my pv.

Hope that helps some :)
