Don't sweat it. 2 or 5 cigarettes vs. 20+ is a huge achievement. Just stick with it, and vape your face off when you can. As time goes by, you will more than likely find you can't stand the stinkies. I still bum one when I'm at work, but in the past week I find I hold it away from me, and take short puffs that I don't even inhale properly. I end up taking a few puffs and putting it out, as I can feel it choking me.

Anyway, I wouldn't sweat it. You should probably get some 24mg, I'd say a good 30ml or so, and see if that helps. Then, when you find yourself comfortable with that, step down if you want. I used 24mg forever, but at one point started getting headaches and feeling nauseous from chain vaping, so I stepped it down. I'm currently using 12mg, and finding it's about perfect for my needs. I have some DIY that is around 8mg, and it's doing the job, too.

So, just keep at it. Experiment with different nic levels until you find what works best for you. You might try getting juices with a bit more VG as it produces more vapor and 'mouth feel', which I find is half of what satisfies me when I vape (I'm using 50/50 blends primarily at the moment).

Good luck, stick with it, you're doing a great job already.

Yes I think you outta try upping your nic level.

I had the same thing happen to me except I didn't have the actual cigarettes. But I WAS climbing up a wall wanting to the first 2-3 weeks.

I decided to get 24 Mg juice and I even got 3 10 Ml bottles of 24 Mg. juice with WTA in it.

That seemed to help me a lot and I ended up NOT smoking ANY cigarettes and beating back the cravings.

Do whatever you feel you gotta do right now so you can get past this part. I mean what's the big deal? You already got this far, may as well get the heavy duty nic juice and put those things behind you once and for all. :thumb:

Edited to add- This is where I got the heavy duty stuff - http://www.aromaejuice.com/Flavoured-Eliquid-with-Whole-Tobacco-Alkaloid-WTA_c33.htm

I vaped away my cravings. About a week later (no cigs) I went ahead and lit one up. Took a couple of puffs and realized it did nothing for me. Was purely craving the habit. I still get the cravings every once in awhile I just vape them away.

There are a lot of people on these forums that vape and still smoke so don't beat yourself ;)

On the other hand. If you "get a rush" when you light up your cig - Then you should probably up your milligrams.

Hang in there!

I am right there with you. I smoked a pad and then some if my mood was bad.
I would try the higher nic. I am currently vaping 24mg and I started on the 3rd of September not smoking analogs.

Mornings are tough! I still struggle with that.

Things that have helped me:

I got a lot of different juice. Some sweet, mostly tabaco flavored, all 24 mg.

I am switching between a clearamizer and a atomizer to drip. I like the clearamizer because I can see the juice in there. It is nice to sit down and just try and relaxe for a few while the vapor works it's way in to my system. The atomizer is nice because the flavor is better and the hits are huge! It feels better for me to see a big white cloud come out when I exhale.

I also find it nice to go to my smoking places, ie the back porch. I know some people would say not to get near any "triggers" but for me it helps to convince my brain I am getting nicotine.

I have set some goals with rewards, ie if I do not smoke an analog for 30 days I am going to buy myself some new sunglasses.

Do not feel bad about the analogs. I feel it is better to have a few analogs and keep trying to switch to vaping then to say "to hell with this" and stop.

This forum is a great source of support and help!

You have to remember, you're not only addicted to nicotine, you're addicted to probably a good 1/3 or more of the chemicals in your cigarettes. They are designed so that the chemical cocktail that is a drag off a cigarette is as addictive as possible. You will most likely get cravings for cigarettes for a long time coming. Just remember, you have a very powerful tool to combat those cravings, now. Half of what will make you successful at quitting smoking and becoming a vaper full time is the desire to get off of analogs. If you think you're going to be able to just switch one for the other and skip down the yellow brick road carefree, you are going to have a bad time.

Vaping doesn't provide the fast nicotine hit that cigarettes do. When I started I was careful to take a minimum of a couple or three vape draws every ten to fifteen minutes or so to help keep my nicotine levels stable. I never felt cravings but if I felt the urge to smoke I just happily vaped until the urge passed.

The first week I vaped 24 mg for an hour at night and an hour in the morning to help compensate for overnight nicotine level drops. I don't need to do that any more.

There are many, many, many posters here who kept smoking a few cigarettes for days, weeks and even months who eventually quit. Instead of stressing yourself with negativity focus on how many cigarettes you haven't smoked. Celebrate that wonderful success story!

I smoked 1.5 PAD of Marlboro menthol 100s, which I think are about 18mg (?) I decided to start vaping at 12mg, my reason being that if it didn't stop my craving I could just vape more. I suspected I would chain-vape no matter what the nic level was, so I wanted to start low, instead of high, in case I built up a tolerance. I have no interest in getting off of nic completely, at least for now. I'm quite comfortable being a junkie.

Hi there..feeling a bit defeated right now ugh..
We've all had the ups and downs and I know you can do it. Your prog just needs a little tweaking I'm sure.

just got my set up on Sunday at noon..18mg juice..so its now Tues evening..and I have had 3 regular cigs since then...except for this afternoon and I've already had 2!
That's a HUGE step forward and there's no reason to be beating up on yourself.

Trying not to beat myself up about it but I am wondering if I should up my miligrams? I can bring my juice back and they can up it to whatever I choose..told me to bring it back if I was having cravings..allllll day today I've been thinking about smoking...have you experienced this when first starting vaping? Sounds like you have a GREAT vendor and most new vapers begin at 18 or 24 mg. I began at 36. I would up the nic to 24 and see how that goes. For the first 10- 14 days you will experience withdrawal from 4 other alkoids that are not in Ejuice.. I would first try 24 mg and if you're still having a tough time then try the WTA as Lotsaffish suggested.
What PV are you using and what ohms- cartomizers/ clearomizers- are you using?

I agree with all of the above. Your body is getting rid of all those 4,000+ chemicals.
Some people can quite smoking and only vape, while others need to titrate their smoking down. It boils down to whatever works for you.
And don't beat yourself up for having a cigarette. If you have one, so what. And then the next time, try vaping away the craving.
That is pretty cool that the place you go to will let you bring it back to up the nic level.

I'd get a bottle of 24-36 milligram level nicotine juice and use that when things are tough. I use 36 sometimes though not near as much as I used to. It's not always a cakewalk. Your body needs to detox all the nasty chemicals from smoking.

Don't beat yourself up if you must smoke. Every one you don't light is a win and we won't kick you out of the club if you have a nail. There is enough guilt associated with smoking.
