Hi @Cicada55, been reading this thread about the restrictions your suffering. If your planning to diy, worth taking a look at www.vapinghardware.com, there is some good info about diy mixing and a suite of calculators, including E Liquid calculator that may be of help to you.
Welcome and glad you joined. Thanks so much for your help everyone. I guess I'll start my education.
No one seems to know for sure if the Deeming Regulations are going to affect nicotine, ...
It certainly makes sense that it would. And nicotine is mentioned specifically, is it not? I just haven't seen any details about what's going to happen nicotine-wise.I have Yet to run into someone who Follows the FDA/Deeming that thinks it won't.
Wow Anna, are you sure your 28ltrs of Nic is going to last you. Maybe you should consider getting a few more lol.Welcome @Cicada55 and I am really sorry about what is happening. Depending on your age and how much you vape (and how committed you are to remaining vape free) really try to use the nicotine calculator to help you out.
I have a crazy amount of nic in my freezer, something like close to 28 liters, but I am 45 and I high nic vaper. I am hoping it is overkill!
In any case, I'm really glad you are here, and if you can check out Heartland vapes. Their budget nic makes up the majority of my stash (although I also have armor and some River nic.)
I hope you can get what you need, and soon. You don't need the 'best" nic in the world there are tons of folks using Heartlands at the moment.
What *I* am sad about are the multitude of vapers suddenly realizing "where is all the vape stuff?" and then RETURNING to smoking.
There have been :"studies" stating people are returning to smoking due to COVID uh huh of course it's all COVID it is not THIS BS.
If you have vaping pals, pass it on. In any state. It's not going to matter eventually NO states are going to be selling these products.
Good luck keep calm and remember what it costs to smoke. Also, if you can store your nic in glass, in the freezer it's the best way to do it.
Anna
Good thing I used vaping to Detox from Cigarette Nicotine.. Buy enough Nicotine to Detox From it & Enjoy Your Nicotine Free Vaping Figure if no one is using Nicotine Prices will drop again Especially on Cigarettes & other Tobacco Products. Let tobacco moguls Eat their own Malfeasant GreedLots of vape related stuff will be all but impossible to buy. There is talk of a HUGE tax on nicotine to the tune of 2700.00 per liter. So even DIY will be a trick if you haven't already stocked up.
Extortion attacks on Indepedant Entrepreneurial commerce. Again after Nov Elections we'll have a better shot at Common Sense Legislative Appeals. If we can restore sanity & common sense govtWhat your dealing with now is only new laws/regulations a state level... after Sept. 9 we have a lot of new regulations going on, on the federal/ national level that will affect every state in the nation.
After Sept. 9, any vape item (whether mods, pods or ejuice) without an application for FDA approval on file with the FDA will no longer legally be able to sell their products in the United States.
The application process is daunting, prohibitively expensive for small businesses/manufacturers and noone still has any clue what the FDA will or will not approve (meaning many will close shop before they spend their life savings on a maybe we'll approve you, or maybe we'll tell you no).
This will crush any small vape manufacturer, (and thus most small vape shops)and much of what is available in the U.S. today, won't be any longer.
Back in 2016 the FDA themselves estimated that up to 90% of what is sold in the U.S. will no longer be able to be after deeming hits, and that date is less than a month away.
Here is a nicotine calculator that will help you to calculate how much nicotine you'll need for stocking up.

And so you know, we decant our nicotine into glass bottles, wrap them in bubble wrap etc and store them in the freezer. This way they will keep for a very long time to come. (Many have small dedicated nicotine freezers, that lock. They aren't prohibitively expensive and this keeps nicotine away from food or any potential accidents, although not everyone goes that route.)
Also, the most common nicotine base to buy is 100mg/ml... and for freebase nicotine it's running about 50 dollars a liter (1000 ml)...
our lawmakers would like to add a per mg nicotine tax at the federal level, which if successful, would make that 50 dollar bottle of today's nicotine into nearly a 3 thousand dollar bottle.
Not trying to scare you... it is what it is though and you should be thanking Maine in some degree because at least you know now. The governments angry about the loss in tax revenue by everyone quitting smoking... and they are going to try to either destroy us, or tax us the same as cigarettes so they aren't out any revenue.
Like someone else said, your best bet right now is to find freinds or family in a different state so you'll have a fighting chance.
Yes, correct. Nicotine comes in a base of either VG or PG. Nic in PG is easier to work with. The viscosity of VG makes it a little harder to work with.Question- I'm ordering supplies, and have the VG & PG picked out, but with the nicotine, it lists Unflavored Nicotine E-Liquid Base, but offers it in different mixes of PG & VG. Is this what I'm looking for?
I can't help you there as I don't vape tobacco flavors. Also, any advice on flavors (Tobacco, non-fruity types)? RY4 has been one of my main flavors for the last few years.
