Ditto for water, mouth inhale instead of straight down to the lungs, and too high of a nic content. I very recently had a friend new to vaping going through the same thing. For her, it was not the PG it was the nic content. She backed off from 18 to 12 and does much better.

I love VG so I am likely biased. I don't really vape anything less than 50/50. I'm going to recommend Velvet Cloud Vapor. 100% VG, some good strong flavors, and smaller bottles available. My favorites from them are Vanilla Custard, Nightshift and Straw Gwab.

Also take a look at Highbrow. Also small bottles and some flavors I think are strong enough. Use the Comments/Instructions box when you order - they will do a ratio like 30/70 for you if you ask. They will also do extra flavor. Some flavors I like - Caramel Cake, Crème Brulee, Pure Pear. I do not like citrus but others rave about their Lemonicello (probably spelled that wrong) flavors.

The EVOD, a good starter and I still use my batteries sometimes. A drawback is you cannot control how much power you are using to heat the juice. So sometimes they can't get high enough to make a flavor pop OR they are too high and give a burnt taste.

Pretty much correct -- also PG carries flavors better; with VG you get a lot of vapor and not much else.

so there wont be any flavor to it?

okay im going to try a 12mg nicotine, and i guess max vg? or 100% vg from one of the vendors you suggested. do you still get a lot of flavor out of yours being 100% vg?

and if i buy some straight vg at the drugstore and mix it 50/50 with half a bottle of one of my juices, will that take the nicotine content down to 12mg from 24mg?

1. There will be flavor, but it will be muted, and just-slightly sweeter than if there was PG in it; considering your difficulty tasting flavors, that might make it nearly impossible to taste any kind of flavor, if there's no PG at all -- at least for now, while your tastebuds are still recuperating.

2. I think 12mg might be about right, or if not, and the cravings are just awful, you could bump it a little; the lower nic might be all you need in order to have a more moderate throat hit. I've never done 100%, just 85%, and for me, it made my chest feel like I had a hairball I couldn't get rid of, it was so heavy. That feeling didn't leave until I went back to 85% PG.

3. If you mix plain VG with a juice you already can't seem to taste, it will become utterly flavorless. If you mixed in a *little* VG with a juice that's too harsh on your throat, that might work very well. But don't mix up all you have; mix small amounts first, so you can determine if you like it, or if more experimenting seems needed.

I get a burning mouth when I get a mouthful of juice and these carts, atty's and tanks will do just that if one draws to hard or has the device tipped too much. If you go 100% VG remember it is much thicker and may cause the wick to not get full absorption and result is a burnt hit. I also would refrain from mixing juices until you have better knowledge and understanding of juices....The best I can say is purchase sample packs and small bottles to try, order the same flavor in varying nicotine levels. Many vendors have 3.5ml and 5ml bottles. This will help keep the cost down and wasting of juice in larger amounts.

So, there should still be flavor, I prefer strong flavors and I can definitely taste my 100% VGs. Velvet Cloud is going to be 100% VG. Highbrow has several options including 50/50. My other favorite vendors that I know have sample packs/small sizes - Good Life, Vapor Chef. Here's to you finding your juice sweet spot!

I saw something in a small vape shop in MS that would really be good for folks new to vaping. It was sample tanks with unflavored base with the various levels of nicotine. Not sure how effective it would be but it seemed like a good idea to me.
Go to a local vape shop have the folks check out your equipment. You could have an equipment issue.
Sample some juice. Find out what VG/PG/Nic works for you.
If you find something that works for you buy a small bottle to start with. If all goes well then you are good to go
If you find out that the juice you have previously bought can't be tweaked to your satisfaction Vape It Forward. Your local vape shop may be helpful in this as well.

You might try ECBlend; they offer 5ml/$2.50, and they let you choose the PG/VG percentges you want. However any of their tobacco flavors do require at least 2 wks steeping; non-tobacco flavors, maybe a week -- because they make it up when you order it, it's not just sitting around.

Hey, I was having similar problems. I was using 24 mg juice from a few different companies; Two Peas in a Pod, Bonzai, Lotus, and a few other brands. I found they all had a weird "harshness" to them. I gave Niquid a try and fell in love. The flavor is STRONG! I started out with the 24 mg. It still was a little harsh, but still A LOT better than the other juices I tried. Stepped down to the 18 mg and havent had much of an issue since then! Maybe give that a shot?
I also found sometimes my coil will be a little too dry and that would give a gnarly taste and harshness, so I dry pull once or twice. Or my coil will flood a bit giving slight harshness with little vapor, so I use the shake out method to clear out some of the extra juice.
Best of luck to you in your journey with e-cigs! :D

let me know how that green apple turns out; I ordered some green apple from MadVapes, because the reviews said it tastes like green apples, not like candy. when I first got it, I thought it tasted more like green bananas! I've had it for 2 or 3 wks now, and it really hasn't improved that much.

Excellent suggestion, about the dry hits/priming pulls; when I first started replacing my flavor wicks after dry burning, I was using a whole strand of Peaches and Cream cotton yarn, which is 4 strands twisted together, and it gave me a lot of dry hits, needed a lot of that priming puff stuff to get a decent tasting hit. so I started pulling out one of the 4 strands of the yarn, so it's only 3-ply, and it works great; still keeps it from leaking, and doesn't need all that priming.

I like all three flavors. You did ok on price, keep in mind that you got 15ml bottles not 5ml.

Hello and welcome

I use Seduce juice and have 4 of the flavors you bought (myrrh, vanilla custard, jezebel, and exodus). I tend to be pickier than most and I love these juices though not having tried 24mg i guess that could effect the flavor. I have not had them higher than 18 mg. While it took a couple weeks for the flavor to come thru the coughing and such could be a few things.

From my experience (not as much as some on this forum!) when I have a wretched taste or coughing it has to do with my atomizer. Either it is dirty or it wasn't properly cleaned before its first use (I always soak in alcohol, it seems to get rid of the crappy taste of a new head).

Also ohms, voltage also play a big part. You say u are using an evod, so that is basically 3.7 volts. I have an evod and when using a mini protank 2 (a glass version of a evod single coil tank, they use the same head) at 2.2/2.4 ohms I have no issues with Seduces' juice.

If it is a new, never been used head soak it in isopryl (rubbing) alcohol 91% (or everclear (grain alcohol)) for at least half a day. I have tried different lengths of time and it seems 12 hours is the shortest. It does make make a difference. When I don't soak i get a crappy taste and harshness and while some say going thru a tank will get rid of it, I'd rather not waste my juice. I just keep a bunch of heads in rotation.

If it is a used head take it out and soak in alcohol for a few hours. This first soak seems to make the following dry burn go better. Remove and rinse with water, remove the chimney (u can let it dry out a bit) and the loose wicking laying on top of the coil, and dry burn. I pulse it. You can notice the gunk turning grey as you dry burn. Then I throw it back into the alcohol for about 12 hours, rinse, put chimney back on and it tastes like new. The second soaking also gets rid of residue in the wick and remnents of the dry burn that have fallen onto the wick. The coils should look silver again.

I have tried many things and this seems to work for me. I seem to be more sensitive and have pickier tastes buds then some, as just doing a dry burn doesn't work for me. These methods get rid of all the yucky remnants of prior vaping and the brand new, machining gunk or whatever is on it when brand new.

I really hope this helps you out. Seduce juice is really good. Snake oil (pear kiwi, coconut with a cream finish) is amazing after 2 weeks of steeping. Myrrh is the blueberry version of Snake oil minus the coconut. And their Snickerdoodledoo is amazing. A cinnamon sugar cookie. Good Luck!

thank you for the cleaning information i will have to give that a try!

one question for you, how long do you usually need to steep the myrrh? the taste is slowly getting better, its been a week. im dying to try it once its reached its golden point

snake oil is next on the list!
