I've been off the analogs for 9 days now. Over the last two days I've felt amazingly lethargic. I just don't fee like doing anything, almost like a depression. Has anyone else had this experience?

p.s. i run 6 miles a week. weight train 3 times a week. i eat 6 meals a day, all low fat. i cheat once or twice a week and eat whatever i want. i don't drink or do drugs. none of these habits have changed during my time off the smokies. normally i feel pretty gd awesome, lol.

It's most likely the carbon monoxide deprivation . . . at least it was for me . . . lethargic, confused and sometimes dizzy . . . the feeling lasted 3-4 weeks for me, then went away . . . I smoked 2 packs a day for 40 years . . . my brain just had to adjust to the extra oxygen I was getting . . . . hang in there . . . it will get better . . . MUCH BETTER!

it took me about 5-6 weeks to wean off cigs and about 3 months to get my motivation back. And i struggle with being tired. Granted, I have a full time job and two part-time jobs and i maintained productivity in all of them- but it was a struggle- still is. I'm still not certain that it was only about the switch to vaping- i can breathe better, and I think I feel better, but it's harder to keep caring and it may just be that I'm tired ( I do whine more often). It may be that some of the other crap in cigs helped me maintain and I haven't completely compensated. But I don't crave cigs and don't think I could ever go back to smoking- it's worth it, and worth fighting to keep the choice.

I don't feel any tiredness yet, but its only been about a month for me with absolutely no cigarettes. The negative side effect I've felt, and I'm really not even sure its from this, is that I'm always cold now. Granted, I'm in Colorado, but even on the nice days we have had (up to 80), I've still been freezing. I am drinking much more water though to try to rid my body of all the cig toxins and pretty much vaping constantly, but I don't crave a cig and when I think about one, I want to gag. I just can't imagine smoking one now.

I hope your symptoms go away soon!!

I'm going on 14 days and I haven't noticed anything strange. Today I had a strange coughing fit like my lungs were trying to clear themselves out, but other than that and a few cravings for a cigarette every once in a while, I'm pretty much the same.

I did smoke a lot - 2 1/2 packs a day for over 30 years, but for a long time, I was smoking Ultra Lights. This is the first time I've read anything about depression or lethargy, but it could just be part of your nicotine withdrawal. What strength are you vaping?

I've been vaping my face off at 12 mg. I haven't felt anything but awesome and a couple craving until today, day 9 off the analogs. Only thing that changed is i started vaping new liquid on a new atomizer today. i'm going to go back to my original liquid and see if there's a difference. I'll keep ya all posted.

I'm vaping 24mg. I tried some 15mg and it just didn't get me there. It's best to vape less nicotine to make totally quitting easier, but I'm just 2 weeks in and not ready to give up the nicotine yet. I pretty much chain vape at home after work. I've tried lots of different juices, and I swear that some that were listed as 24mg seemed weaker to me than others. I've found one juice that works for me right now and I'll stick with it. I'm not a recreational vaper like some around here, I just want to quit smoking and then quit vaping when I'm ready to do that.

So far, the 24mg is keeping the wolves away. No tobacco for 2 weeks! First time since I was probably 14 years old. I turned 56 last March.

Good luck,

Ed.

Ed,

It's great you quit the real Anologs thats hard enough and though the vaping makes it easier than anything else, give yourself a pat on the back for just quitting. If ya gotta hit the 24 or even 36 no big deal, I had to start vaping at 48 then went to 36 after 3 months now im still at 24-30 depending, and gonna take my time gradually moving down, been vaping for a year now and only at those numbers but heck I smoked 2 packs a day for 25 yrs so I'm really glad I'm where I'm at. Take your time and dont try to cut to much at once so your body can adjust to lower levels a little at a time, I would like to be at 18 by the end of the summer if I can be and go from there, we all have poisoned ourselfs with all those poisonous real cigs for a long time the vape is like sucking a lollypop compared to analogs in my opinion.

Feeling alot better today. No idea what the hell was going on yesterday. I tried all my other liquids again accept one. I'm almost scared to try it but i'm going to. I wanna make sure it wasn't the liquid. If it is it's prolly important to figure out what is in it that could make me feel that crappy. I'll let you know here in a few. *vaping*
