really why is an Hybrid better than a mech with a genny???

Why is an Hybrid better than a normal mod with a genny????
I've seen a lot of guys turning their mechs into hybrids and have no idea why... will there be better conductivity? less current drop? isn't it easier to have a normal 520 connection so you can change your gennys easier????
please enlighten me

you eliminate a couple contacts points (the weak link) which give you less voltage drop

that's about it, I have converted two on my mech to hybrids, got me .2 & .3 increase, whoooophy!

but some of us just enjoy tinkering with stuff

I'm not sure about conversions, but all of the hybrids that I own are dramatically smaller than the VV/VW setups I was using before.

Hybrid threads also feel much stronger than a 510 connection.

Hybrid - compact durable minimal parts
Good for the user with one preference in e-liquid

Mech Mod - more versatility - quick device changes
Weak link - tiny 510 connection

not that I know much, but the 510 or the hybrid ones are all transferring the negative charge, my 'modded' mods have a pin going all the way from the battery, trough the atty, to the nuts where the coil joins

Certainly not as compact than a hybrid, but I doubt it's going to make much of a difference (I'm getting 3.9 volts on a fresh battery, @ .9 ohms, with a Smok Natural)

Outside of the 510 connection I don't personally think they r "better". I have more than 2 hybrids and frankly don't use them that much any more. The intro of the Kayfun and other good silica rebuildables and their convenience has gennies on hold for me. I enjoy being able to slap any atty I want onto one of my mechs.

yes, i'm moving away from Genesis as well

I'm mostly into dripping and moving now to bottom feeding, microcoils & cotton

but it's kind to fun to tweak & mod what you already have

I'm thinking about making my own 18650 hybrid dripper soon
