Thanks again for all the suggestions. As I said, I'll give him several choices but I think I'm going to recommend the Innokin iTaste VV V3. This seems to be a quality, inexpensive device that would be good for a new vaper such as my friend to experiment with and see if he likes vaping. I'm going to recommend he buy just one and keep it plugged into his computer to keep it charged when he's not using it or just keep a check on the battery life via the LED lights and charge it periodically when needed.

The full-sized Nautilus will fit on this, correct? I think it should be as simple for him as possible so I think he'll prefer the greater juice capacity of the full-size, rather than having to fill a mini every few vapes.

Speaking of simplicity, I'm not familiar with a VW device so I'm not sure how that works. On my Provari I vape the Nautilus BVC 1.8 coils at 3.7 volts for most juices. This is the setting I'll recommend for my friend to start off with. How would he input a similar setting on the Innokin iTaste? Thanks!

For a nautilus to look right on a vv3, he'll need a flared cone, to cover the ego threads. (EDIT: I just remembered, the nautilus comes with a flared cone, so nevermind!)

The itaste will also do variable voltage, but it's just so much easier with wattage, you don't have to worry about what resistance the coil is, just figure out what level wattage you like and the electronics figure out the correct voltage based on the coil's resistance, no matter what coil happens to be sitting there. But, I looked it up for you; with a 1.8Ω coil, at 3.7v, that would be roughly 7.5-8 watts -- it's actually 7.61 watts.

I understand being low on budget but the last thing you want is to buy a new mod have it break on you and then find out they won't support it t all.
Buy something with a decent warranty from a trusted company, no need to spend Provari money if you don't have it, an Innokin product is a decent starting point and they guarantee all their products. I would stay away from the "high wattage box mods".

I would suggest something like an MVP.

I recently got some Aspire cf vv 1600mah batteries.
From Fasttech I got my order in around 15-16 days.

The website says cf style vv batteries So i guess well they will be a copy but when they arrived they came in Aspire boxes and had the aspire name on them and the security codes were good. Not that I would have minded either way. I thought well maybe they get them from the factory before the Aspire name is put on them.

Most places I could find (Nope didn't check everywhere) wanted around $35 for them and I got them for $20.
So far they have been brilliant , been playing around with the voltage and a previous e juice that was so so when i put it to 4v it is much better.
