Having Altria now in the ecig game I think things will become much harder for BP to push the vaping community around any more. Kind of reminds me of the whole weed thing. The biggest proponent against weed was the cotton/garment industry not alcohol or tobacco.

Assuming they’re not willing to simply dump it and make cigarettes again. Remember, Altria (which is to say RJR & PM) IF they do actually like ecigs and aren’t merely covering their cash stuffed fannys they ONLY like gas stations, and they ONLY like pods. Specifically THEIR pods which are all high molarity salts, and generally aren’t refillable.

That was @Myk , beautiful hand stamped leather.

This has become my favorite and since my old liquid run off is for my most used flavor.
And BTW, it's a mesh rebuildable because the Legend is my best TC for mesh and always has been.

I’ve got v1.1 on mine which may make a critical difference, but I’m finding the TC on a 250c is producing nearly twice the vapor of the legend.. The coil is a bit odd though. 28g single wire.12-13(?) wraps on a 3.5mm mandrel for 2.0ohm. I’m trying to replicate the vaping behavior of a pair of monster fused Clapton’s I was running at scary low ohms and terrifying watts earlier. On the 250c it does it. On the legend it doesn’t. I can do it on the legend running in wattage mode @22w though.

My key word is mesh, so low mass. That's why I figure others say it's weak and I say it's great. I do recall there was a version that was limited, I think others were too but not as bad.

I stopped by my local vape shop this afternoon, chatted with the guy I usually buy juice from. He knew the Aegis Legend mod, but was sold out so couldn't show me one, or sell me one. He showed me some other options, but I moved on without buying.

Then I called another shop across town. Not as close for me, but I knew they tend to have a bigger selection and Iv'e done lots of business in the past, just not as recent. They did have one in stock, the red version. (And I like that "red" more when I saw it in person than the pic I'd seen online.) Added a HorizonTech Falcon tank. It's a mostly glass tank, but he did put a sort of rubber band type thing around it and said it sometimes help avoid glass breaks. Worst case, I'll go back to my Nautilus tank.

I'm vaping it now, and liking the mod a lot. Thanks for all the help.

This is making a certain amount of sense. I am attempting to replicate the flavor behavior of this super sub ohm monstrosity I created to explore the problems with super sub ohm coils.
This had the benefit of someone mentioning “radiator coils which are a low mass low wattage alternative. They’re supposed to be a horrible pain to rewick. I find them a horrible pain to even install. At least when they’re made of springy bounce about stainless. They seem to do the job though. And the low mass IS doing nice things for my legend.

I think other mods I tried wire mesh on were flakey, too picky with readings so they would be randomly weak or burn. One mod hated dual claptons, but does fine with a single fused clapton which I'd think would have the same flakiness but I'm not complaining. So in addition to the low mass I think the Legend was doing good with those types of builds.

Lately I've just been using Vapefly stamped mesh because it lasts longer between cleaning. Doesn't have the separate wire issues but is still low mass.

It is possible to get spare replacement glass. It’s generally pretty cheap. Can take a few day to ge there though so I generally buy one in advance. (Dropping things for me is a foregone conclusion)

while I'm upgrading, I'd consider options on that too. I know I want something simple that just works. I don't want to tinker with it, and I'm not going to roll my own coils or anything similar to that.

After getting my first Zenith...I replaced ALL the other Tanks in my "Rotation" with them...

It has very very very very easy/quick Top-Filling...gives a quite satisfying (slightly "denser") MTL experience...coils last "forever"...never leaks...

You're right...bomb...guess that was the proverbial..."exaggerating to make a point"...

How about...20 years...

Forever with a cartridge coil could be anything over a week. Anything over a month is astounding in a cartridge coil imho. That means theres a trick to it. they’ve got to be rebuildable unless I’m missing something. Are they?

They last well over a month for me. I think I may be less fussy than a lot of people, though, since I have yet to find a juice that I consider more than just okay and also develop vapor's tongue over the course of the day, so I don't have high expectation when it comes to flavor.

Not rebuildable. For another point of reference:

I got my friend a Kroma/Zenith kit last August -- she is only on her third coil in the Zenith in just over 6 months now. She also uses an Ego One (with CLR coils) about equally with the Zenith, and a squonker/rda sometimes.

Note, this is with minimally flavored juice, and I've only had to dry-burn and rewick her Ego One and squonk/rda a couple of times in the same time period as well. So I'm not saying they last longer than a CLR coil (which I always found to last a long time) on average, just that the Zeniths do seem to last as well.

So the trick is the juice. Zenith attys kick .... with low flavor/no flavor juice. Good to know.
