What RDAs do you guys use on the REOs? Because all mine don't have the capability to drip from the bottom.

There are some bottom feeder rda's built that way, and like the big block 454 rda has a bottom feeding center pin available somewhere, not sure if it's to market or in testing right now.

Several rda's that I use have had bottom feeding modifications available either already assembled, buy as a bottom feeder out the box, or just modify the existing one. I'm sure he will post some more useful information than my babbling, as I'm just learning about Reo's, but there are some nice bottom feeding RDA options. I just read about the 454 RDA bottom feeding center pin in the 454 big block atty thread and he's sqwonking through the wire post holes as he hasn't drilled the post yet.

Hi Papa,
I'd like to stick to my Itaste SVD for the moment as I've only had the thing for a few weeks (depressingly the buttons have just started being erratic - won't lock or unlock reliably) so I'll probably try the Magma route due to it's well, but I appreciate your advice and I daresay I'll be following it before too long!

Cheers

Well, this was going to happen in here sooner or later, so I'll take the bullet for the team.

You might also want to consider a reo. It's not for everyone and would require getting a full system (the reo mod plus an atomizer), buuuut....

It combines the sheer joy of drip vaping with onboard juice storage, but isn't a tank system. It's a bottom feeding system - the juice sits in a bottle below the atty and you squeeze it to get juice to the coil and wick (excess is removed from the atty when you release the bottle). Sounds odd, dunnit? Well, it works very well and results in you vaping the equivalent of a dripper with the convenience of a tank.

Because the atty is like (actually, is) a dripper), it's very easy to build and wick - much easier than a kayfun or other RTA, which involves some (dis)assembly to build or rewick. It also stores (potentially) more juice than a RTA tank will hold - great for all day vaping.

It's also nigh indestructable. You mentioned vaping "in camp", which I suspect would be potentially rough and tumble. People have dropped their reos from moving motorcycles with no ill effects.

Now, it's a full mech, so no VV or VW - that may be a deal breaker for you - and the form factor (it's a box mod) might be a paradigm shift for you, but based on your comments (ready/willing to rebuild, natural tinkering behaviour, preference for onboard juice storage, desire for quality vape) you sound like a perfect candidate for the reo.

If this is at all interesting to you, I'd encourage you to hang out in the reo subforum a bit to get in the swim of things - see what's what in terms of the gear, talk to other people about use, etc.

For many, the reo is the end state of vaping after all the clearos, RTA's, and drippers. Maybe that's not you. Maybe it is.
