When I first started doing research on rebuildables, I found tons of great information on this site and through watching videos. I found tons of tips like drilling out air holes for better flow, building different coils for flavor or vapor production, and different wicking methods for better juice control. One thing I heard many, many times was don't over tighten your post screws or you risk snapping the leads on your brand new coil. This problem was never addressed. After snapping the leads on several of my new builds, and dealing with loose post screws giving me inconsistent vapes, I decided to do something about it. I removed my post screws from the deck, secured them in a pair of vice grips, ands VERY LIGHTLY touched up the end of the threads with a dremel tool. Where the threads had originally been cut was no longer similar to a serrated knife, waiting to shear my leads, but a smooth convex surface. This allows me to tighten my post screws extremely tight, ensuring good contact with my leads, even in the shared center post where I had the most problems. I hope this can help a new builder start off right, and cut through some of the irritation of building. If you have any other tips you've discovered that you haven't seen a million times in other threads, feel free to share!
