So I am a new member to the forum and have a lot of questions that I'm hoping can be answered by becoming a member. I just purchased my first PV about 3 weeks ago, I did a lot of research and ended up spending a good amount of change on a pro vari. This was against my friends recommendations, but i couldn't see the use in buying a rookie starter kit then working up to the pro vari. My question is now that I have the machine I want, I'm in need of collecting the perfect rebuildable atty without spending $150 to achieve the overall task of having a great hit every time. Right now I am using the vivi nova 2.5 with a 2.8 ohms head, don't get me wrong I like the vivi but I want an atty that will maximize the power of my machine, with monster vape hits every time. Any advice of where to look and what to look for?

thanx, yeah i was referred to check the ada-t2 out but then I came across the terminator its about $30 more then the ada and about $90 cheaper then the z-atty. still alot of questions being a newbie to the vape game and all. Im going to try and experiment with different attys i guess just dont want to end up in financial ruin because of my inexperience. jk

Golden rule for RBAs: cheap does not always mean bad. If it vapes bad, 90% of the time its because you build it bad.

The AGA-T2 is amazing, cheap price and very high quality build (solid stainless steel and smooth pyrex glass tank). Some people who own high end RBAs actually admit it vapes better than their expensive stuff. I have an $8 cobra clone that vapes like a champ.

All about your own skills, folks. This is the one part in vaping that throwing money at the problem does not solve it.

The aga is pretty good provided you get it set up right, but man if you don't!!! I would suggest you start with something a little easier like an A7 dripper, or the A8 tank atty, and try your hand at a few silica horizontal wicks first. That way you will have a better idea of what you are looking for from your gennie. That's an A7 mini on my ProVari in the avatar pic. (minus the top cap of course)

I got mine here, but Keith seems to run out of them as fast as he can get them.

If you want mad clouds I recommend the IGO-L. Drill the hole to about 2mm. good flavor and clouds. BUT.. all of this depends on your coil set up. It isn't a genesis style atty though, it's a dripper. (I personally like drippers because I like to change juices) I also have a genesis style atty as well which i love. Good luck finding your atty!

/e oh and its at most $25.

There is a reason why Genesis style RBAs have been the talk of the community lately: its vape quality is pretty much unbeatable. I own cartos, clearos, tank systems, drippers, gennies... probably every type you can think of. To rate vape quality, especially flavor, taking dripping to be 10, then my gennies are at least 9 while clearos are 6.5

Not to mention a genny will last pretty much forever: solid steel and pyrex glass is as tough as it can get. Add in $10 worth of wire and mesh and you have enough to last you a year or two. Compare that to the life of a carto.

Oh, and also i can use my AGA as a dripper. Worddd

I always encourage newbies to try RBAs as soon as possible: why waste money on other stuff?

To practice, get some mesh and rebuild a clearo head.

+1 vote for the IGO-L. But the AGA-T+ looks great, too. I'm just bias because I'm using an IGO-L with the Provari as recommended by ECF members

At 25-30 USD for the T+ and 14-20 USD for the IGO-L there's no reason to not go ahead and get both if you can already afford the ProVari.

I also highly suggest trying out an IBTanked 19mm w/ stainless caps for cartos. The 19mm will go nicely with the tapered top ring on the ProV. RBAs use a ton of battery, the cartos not so much. In general I love my RBAs at home, but like to switch out for a cartotank when I'm out and about. Juice and Batteries seem to last longer when I'm away from home this way.

thank you everyone for your input after checking some RBA out i think im going to purchase the A8 tank from highdesertvapes.com for $24.99 i like the sleek design. it was a toss up between the smoketech rsst genesis, terminator-c and the A8, who knows maybe in the long run i will own all 3 but for now wish me luck on my first RBA!

One more question once i get my RBA set up should i check it on a digital volt meter before screwing it onto my pro vari?

Have you looked into an RSST by Smoktech? I've read that it is much easier for beginners to coil and wick versus the AGA series.

I'm personally on a quest to find an RSST now myself! Everyone seems sold out! The big attraction to me is the insulated wick hole... other manufacturers need to take note!!! One possible drawback to the RSST is it only has one wick hole so you are limited to vertical, single wick designs. A second one is that the jury still seems out whether or not the RSST tank (polypro?) is impervious to some of the plastic eating juices like my beloved MBV Lemonade... hence I started out with an AGA-T2 (pyrex glass tank).

It WOULD be useful for the new user to find out if rewicking is really up their ally or not... It can be a lot of fiddling around and may not be for everyone. But I'm reasonably confident that anything that can be taken apart can be recoiled so buy a little 2mm silica wick and some kanthal A1 wire and see if you are comfortable rewicking something cheap first, like a vivi or even a stardust.

Phil has an excellent video that covers the basics and if it doesn't work for you you will have the chance to find out before buying a bunch of steel and glass...
