You could have stepped down too much, I went from 24, to 15, now I'm on 10. Maybe somewhere in the middle of where you were and are now will work. Stepping down is complete guess work.
ya, I did try a 6 and I was like hell no I need to go back and get something stronger, then I mixed it so I didn't waste the 6
I had the same exact problem with the small tanks, really wanted good TH and all I could get at higher power was a burnt taste. bleah! But with the kayfun, the TH is so awesome I had to decrease my PG percentage. With the kanger tanks I was using 85%PG/15%VG, just to get some throat hit, but once I got the kayfun, I had to go to 67%PG/33%VG, the Th was so intense it made me cough like mad, even brought on an asthma attack.
I still use my Mini Protank II for my morning apple-cinnamon mix, because when I first wake up I can't take any TH, it makes me cough like the first morning cigarette did; the Mini PT II, at the lowest possible wattage, lets me get my nic level up, without all the coughing. But today, in honor of 90 days smoke-free, I'm washing all my other kanger tanks and putting them away, to pass on to someone at some point who's ready to ditch the smokes. I've got a 2nd kayfun on the way, should be here tomorrow, and I daresay I'll probably be getting more. There is just NO comparison -- this is like steak after peanut butter sandwiches.

funny, I just switched my pt2 out for my pt1 and as usuall it seems like my pt1 is better.....better hits, less gurgling and condensation in the tube and less vv. Is this normal? Is the pt1 better than the pt2?
at first the pt1 wouldn't fire, then I stuck a toothpick in the bottom of the coil and pulled it down a little so it would make contact with the battery and it fires great now......ive heard of people doing it the other way by prying the battery up a little but to me this way seems a lot safer and easier
I didn't like the pt1, was too airy IMO. I did like the aerotank. And still have it. Just don't use it much now.
and now for the first time this morning im actually enjoying my vape......actually getting the TH I want and not burnt......also I like hearing the strong crackle and pop of the coil its much louder and I seem to like that more lol
Some people agree with you, others swear by the Pro-Tank 2, I think a lot of it has to do with the way people vape and the juice they use. For some, a certain "air/fuel" ratio will vape perfect and smooth, while that same ratio for others will flood the tank or be like sipping molasses through a coffee stirrer.
I personally prefer the Aspire stuff over my Kanger pro tanks, but the Kanger Pro Tank with Aero-base is my preferred setup for the 2 or 3, I only have the 2 & 3 and whichever I put the aerobase on is better than the one without it, no matter which is which. I use a custom coil and organic cotton wicks in my protank a lot of the times, and the aerobase allows me to take those long deep hits and not dry out mid-hit. It probably has as much to do with wicking as it does with burning, that extra airflow helps.
I use a kayfun daily though, and that might be why I group the Protank 2 & 3 so close together where someone else who only vapes Protanks and really optimizes them as a carto connoisseur (Might be the next big term in the vaping world

ya I like the airflow through the pt1....maybe I should of kept the aerotank to use the base on the pt2's.
I have this tank that came with the mvp 2.0 that I don't even want to try, I don't like the long wick things inside.....can I use any of the parts of that for anything? lol I believe its an iclear 30.......I think most of the juice would be sitting in all of those wicks and waste half my jar lol.....I like the bottom coils better than the long ... wicks
If you get a chance to get one for a nice price when you're ordering other stuff, they're definitely worth the $3.50 to $5 I've been seeing them for. I was skeptical so I only ordered one, but I'll be getting more with my next juice order or throw it in the cart with one of my other random purchases. It's an obvious difference in vapor production and a better hit IMO. I can't tell if the flavor is better or there's just more of it, if that makes any sense at all.
im loving the hits right now.....is it because I pulled the bottom of the coil down more so it makes better contact with the battery that im getting better hits? Seems like its stronger and theres more heat and popping which I like......I thought I needed more nic mg but now its perfect, I wish it would just stay like this all day lol
Can always sell it if you don't want it. I have a ton of tanks and clearos that I don't use, but I am a hoarder of all things vape lol. I'll actually prolly hold on to them until someone I know wants to give it a try then pass them on.
well Crystal Freeze I have actually been asking people on facebook if they have stuff they don't want if they could send it to me......Im a stay at home step dad and don't get much chance to get new stuff. I don't even care what it is.....tanks, coils, batteries, chargers or anything.....I would also like to start my own collection, plus I camp a lot throughout the year and taking extra bats with me is important. If your interested in sending me......ANYTHING, ill glady accept it and appreciate it......seriously

Except that they're not cartos, they're clearos. BIG difference.
The PT 3 is a dual coil, which is a BIG difference. I don't have any of the full sized protanks, jsut the PT II Mini, but I think that really the major diff between a protank and a PT II is the removable drip tip on the PT II. the PT III as I said is a dual coil, which is a huge difference; I can't abide them, just too dadgum hot and it really messes up the taste of my favorite juice.

I have a few tanks, I know of right off hand. I'll have to look through the rest. I know I have some juice too but I think it's all higher nic. Between 27-24.
