OK so for the longest time (LOL a couple of months) after I started vaping, and of course was reading every post on ECF like a madman without a job, I was nervous about rebuilds. So I ordered a bunch of non-rebuildable stuff, tried as hard as I could to get the hell away from clearos (because I hate them) and continued to watch YouTubes of luxurious clouds of vapor with a sad sort of trepidation and obsession.
Finally I slapped myself soundly about the head and shoulders, ordered an rda and some Kanthal, bought a box of CVS sterile cotton and various wicking materials for experimentation, and made peace with the fact that rebuilding was in my destiny.
Several people contributed to this mystical turnaround for me. One was Rip Trippers - his tutorials made everything look so easy and explosion-free.
Another was our own beloved Butters78. (Or Butters-whatever-number-he-is-this-month.) He kept insisting in every thread about equipment options that if he couldn't rebuild it, he didn't buy it. This was resonating with me, even though it scared me.
It all went uphill from there. Now, I am a rebuilding fiend. I have to rebuild stuff or I can't stand using it. Even my Protanks and Davides, which actually give a very decent vape right out of the box, I have to recoil and wick before I am satisfied. I am constantly brainstorming new and intriguing ways to wrap coils and create the perfect vaping experience. I look forward to getting home from the office just so I can start rebuilding things. I turn the TV on but I am too busy making coils to watch any of the shows.
Please help me.
