Hi I watched a few youtube videos on rebuilding the kanger protank 3. I see most people are using cotton now a days, however I bought some ekowool I thought I'd give it a try since I am having trouble finding organic unbleached cotton. I don't know what I am doing wrong but my vamo v.3 keeps reading 9.9 ohms. Which is what it reads if I don't have a tank on it. Is it shorting out? Is the ohms not high enough to register on the vamo? I am using 32 guage kenthol, 2mm ekowool and 5 wraps any help would be greatly appreciated!

Either a short or no electric circle at all. Make sure you have no touching positive and negative leads. Make sure the coil is not touching the iron of the head.
If you serious about rebuilding , throw out (figure of speech) the protank and buy an rba.
They are intended for it and makes building a lot more fun than fiddling with a coil head that small.

its the opposite of a short.

either the center pin on the atomizer head is not contacting the battery or the coil itself is open.

you can check the coil with a meter; if the coil is good, then its a center pin problem.

did you rebuild 2 coils or just 1?
Maybe you put the two legs on the 2 negative points and not one on the center pin; that's my guess.
