There's some pictures in this thread that might help. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ystems/295410-vivi-nova-rebuild-tutorial.html

Have you tried it without the nr tails? I use straight 32 ga Kanthal to recoil my reduxes and never have a problem. My coils usually come in at about 2.2 ohms and work fine around 3.5 volts.

This video shows folding the ends of the kanthal back to the coil and twisting it to make a double wire for the tails. It looks as easy as using the nr wire. Another Vivi Nova Rebuild - YouTube

edit: Have you tried cotton yet? I'm using cheese cloth and finding that it wicks much better than silica. :vapor:

I attach the NR to my kanthal, then wrap it around a screw driver bit (not sure of the size, I just grabbed one that was the size I wanted) usually doing a 5/6 wrap.

With my 30awg kanthal A I'm getting around 1.7Ω with this method and 32awg kanthal A1 around 2.5Ω.

So far I've only been attaching the NR wire to the positive only and its been working perfectly. Before I was seeing the coil heating up by the gasket/grommet.
