for me it was just trial and error until I found what works best for me. it will vary depending on the juice.you are using and personal taste. my tanks still leak sometimes when they are not handled gently but I use a high PG juice which is a little thinner than what most people here use.but every situation is unique so you just need to keep trying different things until you find what works best for you

Any info would be helpful here as well. Girlfriend just got me a subtank mini the other day...waiting by the mailbox for some kanthal and cotton to try it out. This will be my first time building/rebuilding, so I plan on doing some more reading and digging through videos before I jump into it. But any other tried and true tricks/tips are much appreciated.

I used a piece of KGD that was 1/2" wide that was 1 1/2" long. Wet the cotton for an adhesive of sorts, made sure I wrapped under the top leg and on the next 2 wraps covered it.

It took me forever to get my way of doing it down pat. Patience, trial and error is all I can really say with any real substance on the subject. Good luck, you'll make it work!
