I've had 2 quick months with my p18 and could not be happier. The AW 2600s show no sign of falling off after rotating 2 every other day. This device has performed flawlessly.

Always good to hear some long term feedback! It's good to hear you are liking your P18!

David,

I'm the guy who was grumbling about the tapered cap a while back. I've just got to say that after using my P18 for a while, I'm kinda fond of it as delivered! :) The way I use the P18, my pinky finger is used to press the fire button, while my thumb holds the top cap. Not sure that would work so well if the cap was tapered.

But, I am considering purchasing a spare cap, and having it tapered ... variety is the spice of life.

Seven weeks in to P18 pleasure. Thanks for a great PV!

OH, and I see my whistle tips have been shipped. :)

If I remember correctly, P10 don't take as long to ship out as other P models. I believe David said he actually has a certain amount already made and ready to ship (but that was a while back and I'm sure he will chime in here...)

Btw, love your sig!

Well, I chose to order a P10 because at the time it said 1 week wait as apposed to 2-3 weeks listed on P16. Unfortunately that was 3 weeks ago now, and still no notice that it's been shipped.

I'm guessing any stockpile he had was sent to Cloud9Vaping.

I want to personally apologize for the wait. I grossly underestimated the wait times on Pending Precise orders. Please know that prders are all filled in the order they came in, including vendors orders and we are working hard to get caught back up.

for those that are waiting it is SO worth the wait. when i first got mine last year (?) i thought it was cool, well made, but i had a problem with the spring sticking. I hesititated to send it back to david to look at b/c i had only a few regular batteries to hold me over. i ordered some 808d batteries and as soon as they came in I sent my P18 on to david.

i sent him a detailed list of the problems i was having.....i had so much trouble with my weak hands and the P18 initially that i was frankly in no hurry to get it back thinking my hands were just too weak to use it, but david found the trouble and FIXED it PERFECTLY. Now I know what ppl are talking about and how this 'mechanical' device is the perfect mod to have in your arsenal.

the juice well works very good and is a necessity with CE2 cartos. These things leak out of the blue and would ruin another mod, but with my P18 I have no worries. It's sealed. I even unscrewed the top one time to check after a CE2 flood lol. yep, dry as a bone inside.

my hands which can't even open a bag of chips or hold things without dropping them, are no longer a problem with my P18. When david and users say it is SMOOTH action, they weren't kidding.

one of the things i also love about it is you can buy mix and match parts (brass/stainless) and david is working on a locking cap in the near future..... and the lifetime warranty.

if you're waiting for your precise and only have ecig kit batteries, order some more and you can hang on until your ultimate mod arrives :)

i love mine so much now that i forget my P18 is also a 5-6 volt mod. It's so satisfying at 3.7 that i've had my 3.0 aw's in there only a few times. instant BLAST, so those of you that like HV vaping, you're going to love it. :p

I waited a good bit to get my P18 and I was so excited I didn't pay attention. Basically I got mine last week I have plenty of batteries so I have been thinking everything will be A ok come delivery time. Nope not one of my batteries fit. If anyone is waiting for there Pv make sure you have the right batteries. How two and two didn't connect when I watched davids YouTube video on the p18 I have no idea. Out of the 8 I have on hand one pair come close . Now I get another 2weeks to wait to vape .
Hopefully people will read this and not make the same mistake look over what u have to make sure u don't need to purchase extra stuff when u place ur order. Ohhh and the Pv dead sexy can't wait to hit pay day and get some batteries

Super T only recommends AW batteries for use in the P18 and P16. The mod is built around the AW and each unit (button throw and post height) is set up and tested with the AW 18650 2600mah prior to leaving. I apologize for that video showing ultrafire/trustfire brands being used in it, it was made during the prototype phase and i have found the 18650's batteries vary widely in lenth, especially among the trustfire and ultrafire batteries and i do not recommend them for use due to their poor quality control.

No need to wait two weeks to vape it, i carry the AW18650 2600mah on hand and i ship daily, so you'll have them by weeks end. :)

If I have any money left after paying for my sons test then I am gonna try to grab a set of the Aw 3v to hold me over till I can stock up.3 more days and I will know what's left . But for right now I get to look at it lol I swear u have to know where the seems are to even know they are there . Gotta love it

are your batteries 18650? do they not fire at all? the reason i ask is I have some gray Ultra Fire 18650's that will work with the smallest O-ring that came in your pack. The top won't screw down all the way, but it still works fine. I only have one AW battery (the 2600 black one on david's site), but I swap out all the time with my older ultra fires.

Yea I have a gray one but don't feel comfortable taking it out of the house unless the top is screwed down all the way. Can u really tell a difference between the batteries or is it all hype ?

i think they are pretty much the same as far as they work until they need a charge. I don't notice my AW charge lasting any longer than my Ultra Fires. The AW's fit better. I don't know that they give full power to the end of the charge, etc or not. I'm not even sure if they do that. ?? I don't know a whole lot about batteries so i'm not much help I know.

My friend got some solar power brand batteries I think and he likes them. The AW's have better quality control than the ultra's and trustfire gray ones, plus the base of the battery is more sturdy....

you wouldn't have to worry about a dud with AW's, but your grays are fine too. They may suddenly go bad on you, but they were cheap enough to begin with so you can just toss them down the road as they die and restock with AW's.

I had 4 gray 2400's so at first I invested in davids AW 3.0 batteries and a charger to try 5-6volt vaping as an option. If you don't have those, you might want to put your $ towards that so you have 2 options for vaping with it.

I wouldn't worry too much about the top not screwing down all the way. You get used it and the performance is good. Enjoy it with what you have until you can afford more batteries. I know it sux to get a shiny precise and want it to look perfect with the right battery lol, and it DOES look perfect with the AW battery. David does great work, and i love that i can be rough with it, clean it well, etc, and it won't break. It's a tank... a beautiful tank. I need a tank b/c i am a klutz ;-)

I'd rather have it the way david made it to fit a certain battery and be perfect, than one that fits every 18650 battery out there, but the batteries clang around ;-) Put some grays in there and vape away.

I am sure that you know about the orings but did you remove all of them to see if that would help?

yeah my friend uses his now with no 0 rings. I was going to mention it, but i have no idea how this thing is grounded and if they are needed. I'll leave that to david, but my friends works fine without them and all his batteries fit.
