I have two batteries in the charger and one is now showing the green light whilst the other is still red and presumably charging.

Should I leave the green one until the red is finished? Or switch the charger off, remove the charged battery and restart? I never know whether to overcook one or interrupt the charging cycle of the other or maybe it doesn't matter at all? Can you help please or should I send out the Techno beacon?

What type of charger is it? If each battery has a light to tell you it's charged then yes, take the one out when ikt's light is green.

BTW - For Li-Ion batteries it's better to charge them often then to wait until they are fully drained.

Hi zoiDman, it's an Ultrafire (saving for a Pila) both sides have lights. Do I just pull the battery out or turn the charger off first?

You don't have to turn the charger off. Once the green light goes on you can pull that battery out and the other one can keep charging.

Another thing I do. I like to mark each battery with a permanent marker #1, #2,#3, etc. That way I can keep track of who is who if I get a battery that won't charge or doesn't hold a charge.

That's a very good idea, I'll definitely be marking mine now. Thanks for your help :)
