Oh, and wood, once you get that colony rolling, gimme a holler....I have nursing skills (but I tend to delegate rudimentary tasks such as bed pan cleaning and bum wiping, to others....lol)
i already have a ....y job with the plumbing end of things , im afraid you will have to find another volunteer for the poopy jobs :)

I vote yes, every colony's gotta have a nurse after all. Thanks for including the picture with your application CG. Much appreciated!

Here is where I was talking about in case you don't like the existing Canada forum. Just happened upon this the other day.
Forum > Community > The Lounge > OUTSIDE!

Why OUTSIDE?! We need a Canadian Lounge with Rules.. no stick to the head and no low blows! Everything else goes. ;)

C-Dub, Sarge.. mods?!

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

I can do more than tend bar. I also weld, trap and rescue, garden, teach, do much of my own home improvement, etc. My best skill though is laying by the pool with a margarita in my hand :D
Wire feed or stick? Aluminium? And growing things in Canada can be a bit tricky... We only get sunshine in August.

Best woman stick welder around although I mig as well. LOL -- After I got my first job I found out they had gone around with my test plates having all the men look at them. After admiring them (cause I WAS darned good and could lay a pretty bead!) they would say, " A woman did that, can you believe it?" I got tired of working for sexist management and went back to college after a big layoff.

Sounds about typical, even today unfortunately. Some of the best staff I have ever had the pleasure of working with were women. I guess that was down to having to prove their worth above and beyond anything guys typically have to. I actually had an apprentice come to me and complain that he had to work too hard after I hired one particularly gifted girl. She could work circles around everyone -- including me -- without breaking a sweat. Took all the crap and abuse with savoir faire and made them feel like little boys. I was very sad to see her move up to a better job.
