I've read all the tutorials but still having issues rebuilding the Nova mini. Using 32 gauge A1 and 1/0 cotton. 4 turns as viewed from the top burns the heck out of the juice. 5 coils as viewed from the top won't work with the Ego T battery. The battery just blinks but doesn't fire. It fires with 4 turns but it tastes horrible.

I also noticed that the resistance goes down pretty quick with 4 turns and thats probably why it's burning the juice.

So, now what? I already fried one brand new battery. I have terrible tasting juice. vaping is costing more than regular cigarettes.

The reason I was attempting to rebuild is because I get bad batches of heads from Gotvapes.com and cant keep paying for junk that they wont honor. I figured rebuilding them would be cheaper. But I'm not having much luck this route either. Needless to say it was cheaper to just smoke regular cigarettes and less hassle. I like vaping but at the rate I'm going I'm starting to think it just isn't worth the cost and hassle.

If someone has any ideas I'd sure love to hear them.

Thanks

I don't have a Nova, but I can give some insight on the coil and the 1/0 cotton, which may help. Remember, it's the length of the R-wire which determines the resistance, not the amount of turns. So, while someone may get 4 turns from 1 inch, others may get 6 turns, because they are using a different wick. Are you measuring the resistance of your wire once it's assembled? If not, you may unknowingly be assembling something like a 4 ohm wire (unlikely, but just saying). How long is your R-wire? Also, I used to use the 1/0 cotton thread...do you unravel it or not? I found that, as received, the 1/0 cotton thread does not absorb juice very quickly, the juice just kinda sits on the surface for a while (I was using 70% PG, 30% VG at the time). To resolve this, I took a safety pin and unraveled the thread (took about 5 minutes for each wick), thus improving the absorbancy of the thread. However, I have since moved on to rolled cotton because it is is crazy fast at absorbing juice. I am not sure if anyone uses this type in Novas (I have a Penelope) but it wicks fantastically. I bought my roll at CVS and i just pinch a bit off and roll it into the wick shape. You can also try wetting the wick with juice prior to turning your coils. Hope this helps, even though I don't use your device.
