My daughter has automatic 808 batts (White Cloud, bless her heart) and would like to drip. What would y'all recommend I get to set her up? I'll get her a manual batt so it doesn't have to be 808. Any advice would be appreciated.

2nd question:
My wife has a manual 808 (Smokeless Image Volt). Will that be strong enough to drip with a bridgeless atomizer and drip tip?

You can get drip tips for the 808's , as well as for the standard 510 connections . If your daughters auto batteries are not sealed , I would not use them to drip . juice gets in the battery , and it's toast . So maybe just get her some 510 manual batteries , or even a big battery PV , in a 510 connection . And just get her a few atty's for dripping , as well as a few drip tips of her liking . And yes your wifes batteries are strong enough to drip . Use to do it all the time , when I was using those 808's . Way beyond that now . Afraid their's not much hope left for me . Seems like I have too much spendable income . At least for a few days or so .

i second the HH .357 atty, its pricey but SO WORTH IT....as it's 510 you'd have to get some 510 batteries, so go with an eGo twist, if you want to stay with the minis, i wouldn't do it with the automatic batteries or they'd get fried...as for the manual volt batteries...you can pull the carto filler out of a smokeless image carto...and BOOM...you have a drip atty.

If you really want a nice drip set up get a regulated Mod with a Fatty V2 or ERA RBA Atty = Drip heaven with massive vapor and some seriously great flavor. You wont ever have to buy another Atty with this set up either, just some 2mm wick and some good Kanthal wire 30 Awg would be my recommendation.

Capital ideas, elmattias. Thank you. And the others of you who replied.

Am I right in thinking an atomizer should be debridged to drip on it?

no. not at all...some come bridgeless, some don't, those that love bridgeless swear up and down that the extra metal braiding taint the flavor of the juice...i don't have any issues with it....its a matter of opinion...you vape the way you want to, but personally, i don't recommend bridgeless as i find they leak more than most due to not having the mesh filler to hold some of that juice in

Thanks again, elmattias. I have many noob questions but I'll limit them to just 2 more in this thread:

1 - How do you choose an atomizer from the many available? What is the criteria?

2 - What's the difference between a 306 and 510 atty?

That was 3 questions wasn't it? Oops, there's a 4th.

1 - depends on the device being used....on a VOLT the battery threading is 808, that being said you need an 808 atty...if you're using a 510 device like an eGo or a big battery 510 mod, the options open up....if looking into 510 atomizers, i HIGHLY recommend starting with the i306 or any of the 510 line over at ikenvape.com as they continue to astound me with outstanding products (as well as my go-to RY4 blend...ijs) if you're experienced dripping, head over to avidvapor.com and grab the HH .357 atty

2 - the i306 atty (as well as the other 306 style attys) are threaded for 510 connections, they require a special drip tip though...i suggest trying dripping out for a few days first before you decide its what you like...

i personally like to drip occasionally...when i drip, my go-to is the HH .357 atty, which is a 510 atty...its expensive-ish (20-25 dollars), but the best non-rebuildable atty i've ever used (and it's customizable), they come in 510 or 901 threading...would i recommend it to someone looking to start dripping? no. would i recommend it if you have been dripping and enjoy it? hell yes. the i306 is the one i say you should try if you want to give it a go and you have a 510 device...however the smokeless image volt products you stated to use before give you the easy out since all the cartos they use are bottom coils...since the coil is at the bottom, you can pull the filler material out and have a drip atty this way, however, it's going to leak more than usual, which is another reason i cannot stress enough NOT to drip into those automatic batteries you have.
