I like the Sperrys:
Sperry DM6400 Digital Multimeter 8 Function Manual Range
You might find a better deal on this one elsewhere, but this is pretty much what I use. I do not recommend going cheap or analog, which is often cheap needle-reading types. They do not measure resistance accurately in the ranges attys and cartos are in.
