What's In Your Tool Box?

As I venture down the road of rba's I'm starting to get my supplies together. Wick, wire, tweezers, Ato/Carty Ohm meter (if I can ever find one in stock), etc.

I wanted to ask what your some of your MVP tools might be and if you have any brand recommendations for things such as wire cutters, which from my experience are far from all alike. I'm taking my time to hand pick everything and not grab some all-in-one tool kit with a bunch of junk in it.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you mean by MVP tools but some of my RBA tools are nail clippers and scissors instead of wire cutters, a long, slender, metal pointy tool like an awl, butane torch (camping kind), paper clips, tweezers, dental pick, eyeglass screw drivers, multimeter, toothbrush for brushing crud off of coils after dry burning, various size screws and drill bits for wrapping wire, needle tip juice bottle and probably a few other things that I can't think of right now.

I prefer a jeweller's loupe to other magnifiers. and mine clips to the side of my eyeglasses. Don't forget toothpicks (non-conductive, for positioning hot coil on SS wicks). Tweezers-searched 'health and beauty' section of several stores, until I found a set that looked suitable.

My preferred screw driver, Husky 8-in-1 screwdriver, about $6. Lifetime warrentee, so when you break a bit trying to use it in a hex-head screw, you can just bring it back for exchange.

My preferred hex driver, (picked vendor at random) Dynamite Machined Hex Driver (Red) (1.5mm) [DYN2900], which I purchased at a local hobby (radio-control/models) store. After using this, I learned to hate the Philips/straight blade tiny screws found on most RBAs. About $7-$8. I brought my RBA with me, so I was sure to get the right size. Fits my mini-did clones, AGI fill screw, etc. Sure beats the tiny L shaped hex drivers. Oh, hobby shop also sells 'heating wire for foam cutters' i. e. nichrome, so I now have a local source.

I also use an eGo zippered case as a small 'tool box', as it holds enough tools/supplies for a few weeks of travel.
