My current setup is adequate but a hassle when driving.... Looking for something comparable but simpler, more grab and go....
I have a 4nine copper and nimbus clone.... I typically run a 0.7-1.5 ohm setup depending on how much wire I want to work with when I do new coils....
I know I need to look at the center post extension from the 510 threads and to avoid spring loaded posts, but I do all of my shopping online due to work hours....
If it matters, I started on blu august of 2013, quickly moved to ego twists with a mini protank 2, somewhere in 2014 I started doing my own protank coils, played around with carto tanks, bought an aspire btc and used both dual coil and vertical coil heads, went from vv to vv/vw and eventually moved to the 4nine and a dripper.... Started on 30mg liquid, then up to 36mg, stepped down too fast and then back up to 36.... I was on a MBV kick for awhile then they stopped selling 36mg liquid so I went down to 24 mg.... When I was unemployed, I decided to start a ZampleBox subscription and somehow I've stepped down to 12 mg and I don't cape anywhere near the amount I used to but I do switch between what I have left of 18 mg and 12 mg liquid randomly throughout the day and have some unflavored 36 mg for emergencies....
I guess I'm looking for something more like a tank that's safe for a direct battery contact.... Doesn't have to be the newest thing around and hopefully no more than $30 with the ability to make my own coils rather than buying replacements....
Any recommendations? Thanks

The 4nine seems to be M20x0.5 threaded;
it should hybrid to the 3d rdta

the aqua v2 rta looks like it hybrids to m20x1 mods- caravela, paragon, gp paps

    Hmmm , I'm surprised Roxy didn't mention the Rose V2 . I use a Rose V2 with the hybrid adapter ( direct battery contact ) on my Stingray X as my normal setup . The 510 pin on the Rose is adjustable and it stays firm where you set it , I have mine protruding almost 1/8 inch . The Rose is one of the best flavor atty's available , intense flavor with a .7ohm 26ga setup in it . It's dam near bulletproof . It's not a lunghitter though , strictly mouth to lung .

    He was looking for compact, and seems to like dripping :)

    I love my Roses, but they aren't small.

    Its the same. Now to decide between that and the rose v2....
    Only mentioned the adapter if it'd give me the ability to safely use anything on the 4nine....
    The Rose is strictly a flavor atty and a mouth to lung hitter , it may well be the best flavor atty on the market , the RSBT has more airflow , and is better for vapor production . It depends on where your interests lie . The juice flow control on the Rose allows me to vape 100% VG without a hitch , another reason I favor it . Plus it looks badazz in all metal mode on the Stingray X . :)

    Just be careful with it , my Kayfun 3.1 has an adjustable 510 but it doesn't stay put so I don't use it with a direct connection .
    I'll be sure to check it out first and check it frequently, too.

    If it doesn't stay or it becomes too much of a hassle, I can always break out my vv/vw battery and use that for driving....
