Recommendations and some noob questions

I have been doing some reading here on ECF and other misc google searches trying to find out what my first rebuildable purchase would be, but I still have some questions and would appreciate everyone’s input. I would like to note that after doing research I believe that an RTA would fit best with my lifestyle but I will also try others just so I can sample a more diverse selection.

First and most important… I currently have the itazte MVP 2.0 so am I able to use RTA’s with my MVP and are there any that I can’t use?

What are the differences as well as ups and downs of different wicks? Cotton, rayon, silica ect.

What are the differences as well as ups and downs of different types of wire? Kanthol, nickel ect.

Whats up with standard, micro, nano and super nano coils? Can you make these different sizes in any tank? Do the different size coils require different wattages and how do you know what settings to use for each coil?

What exactly is sub ohming? I assume not just any MOD can sub ohm..

I like a lot of vapor as well as good flavor so any suggestions would be great.. I would like to get a few different rebuildables at once, so a good starter one for a noob as well as a couple more advanced ones where I can tinker with different builds… I also don’t mind purchasing a new MOD if that is recommended.. As long as its not 300 dollars lol

First and most important… I currently have the itazte MVP 2.0 so am I able to use RTA’s with my MVP and are there any that I can’t use? You are limited by the MVPs current output, which is 3 amps... hence, your lower resistance limit is 1.2Ω.

Wicking (capillary action) capability, what the material used adds to flavor and heat tolerance/re-wick requirements.

Kanthal A1 is the most popular and easiest to use. It has a iron/chromium/aluminum composition, with an alumina layer that develops, which is both thermally conductive and electrically and corrosion resistive... all of which contribute to performance.

Reference to diameter (a micro coil is, technically speaking, a coil built on a 1/16" or smaller mandrel, with a compressed wrap construction). There are only two things that affect the net resistance... wire length from terminal to terminal, and wire gauge or thickness. Within those parameters, resistance, regardless of the physical construction, will not be affected.

"Sub-ohm" will be builds below 1.0Ω resistance... and APV (or battery with unregulated mods) current output ( continuious amperage discharge capability) must be in parity with that resistance... per Ohm's law calculation.

Start with popular RDAs and RTAs... as most issues (if any) with them will have been solved hundreds of times over. For an RDA... perhaps a Origen V2, and for an RTA... the Kayfun Lite plus.

Your MVP can vape well with a single coil rta built 1.5-2.0 ohms. Below 1.5 ohm, IMO it feels underpowered at an 11W limit.

Good rtas to research: kayfun lite plus, Lemo, Taifun GT, Erlkonigin, Squape Reloaded, eXpromizer.

If you decide on a dual coil rta like an Orchid, Fogger or Aquav2, you should get a 30W mod at minimum. The ipv mini is nice for the price.
