I am going to purchase a APV/ mod this week and want to know what the people on here think I should purchase, but not just what more interested in the why. I am looking to spend around 100 bucks give or take, not sure if I want to fork over the bread for a Provari, my only stipulations are as follows:

1. Cost no more than 150 for the setup(batteries and charger included)
2. VV mainly, VW would be nice but if not I could continue with out it
3. Ability to check resistance of what is attached(carto, tank whatever)
4. Obviously a display,
5. Be slightly durable

If it helps I am currently using an ego twist and spinner, with primarily Novas on it, I make my own wicks for it as well. I did just order the new Vapeonly BCC Mega and a Kanger EvoD. Any help and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I will say this, though a Vamo, or Zmax or similar will work pretty well, if you see yourself buying a Provari in the near future, just save your money and get that. Not trying to swing you away, but when I bought mine I remembered thinking at the time that I wished I had just gotten one sooner and saved my money. If it's not something that's nagging in the back of your mind and you might not even get one, don't even worry about it. Just saying, no sense in buying a Vamo this week, and buying a Provari in 3 weeks and never using the Vamo again, for example. The Vamo is probably a good way to go, I just can't say for sure since i've never owned one and I only use mechanical mods and rebuildables these days.

Whatever you get, get GOOD quality batts! Either AW IMR's, or Efest IMR's will be your best bet! :D

I should be getting an eVic from the next coop for $63.

I was leaning toward the eVic but I keep hearing some negative things about them, more so than others
Still waiting on the verification to be finished so I can look in there, hopefully soon, I did the form on wed.

first off i would say go with a provari if you have the funds you wont be disappointed there is a reason there is such a following for them they work great, look great, made in the USA,and are close to being unbreakable, that aside there are many great VV/VW devices out there if you are on a budget i have 2 provari's,2 vamo's, 2 lava tubes, two Zmax's one is a smok one is a Sigelei and numerous ego's.

My favorites by far are the provari's = Best All Around Device

Then the Sigelei Zmax = Great solid Device and awesome features (have had to have one replaced tho)

Then the Smok Zmax = Great device and features, not as refined as the Sigelei it has ugly display and rough edges/threads but works good.

Then Vamo's = Work great and are very cheep a bit boxy and heavy no frills here but work good(have had to replace one)

then lava tubes = Work ok but there is much better out there for the price

and finally ego's = nothing to say here realy.

Guys, stop recommending the Provari. It's over his stated budget. He want's a complete kit for $150. Do you guys even read what the OP's requirements are?

Of the PV's recommended so far, I don't have any of them. I only own the Provari, but that is not in your budget.

I'm right there with you, my ebay verification was approved on tuesday, I replied immediately but still haven't gotten it yet... I keep checking every hour or so.....all week.... but nothing yet. Pretty frustrating. I know the whole backstory and all, but still...doesn't make it suck any less.

I just cant wrap my head around dropping 200+ dollars on one yet, the only thing in that range that truly has me drooling is an iHybrid, they are piece of art. However that is not what I am looking for at the moment.

I really agree with Baditude. You asked for recommendations and it isn't helpful to keep being told to get something that currently doesn't meet your requirements. I'd love to have a Jag, but in the meantime I have to drive to the store.

I have a Sigelei Zmax,Smok Zmax. I personally like the Smok Zmax best out of those two. I also have Vamo v2. All three are pretty close in vape ability. I would recommend any one of them. I also use a CCTS+Kick & Smok Natural+ Kick. Love them all. Vision 1300 spinner or Ego twist are good also.

I just got the vamo v2 as my first mod and love it. I would highly recommend it, but if you go with something else I would say to look for variable wattage. I have a couple spinners/twists (can't remember which one they are) and they were cool to get an idea of variable voltage, but I just like the way vw works better. I am with you on the $200 plus mods, they are beautiful and maybe someday I will own one, but I am just to much of a klutz so I don't think I will be buying anything that nice.

yes i think we all read his requirements but also read "not sure if I want to fork over the bread for a Provari" which to most people would suggest that he is still thinking about getting a provari and therefor why people are still suggesting them.

specially considering his $150 budget he could spend another $30 and have a provari with battery's and charger and own one of the best devices sold instead of having a cheaper device that he will likely replace with a provari later.

that aside if you are stead fast on something under $150 get yourself a ZMax out of all the cheaper devices i own they seem the best.

VAMO and a decent RBA with charger and a couple of battery. Right around $100.

Im using AGA T+ on a VAMO with 2 18650 and 2 18350 batteries plus charger. Almost exactly 100$, give or take 5 depending on shipping.

Supplies like mesh, wick and wire are very cheap, $15 on eBay lasts like 2 years, no kidding.
