Just curious if any of these materials can be recycled. I hope that I won't be tossing too many carts, but then, they can't live forever.
And now I have all these condoms and .... plugs lying around....yeah, I really just wanted to say that, 'cause I'll probably not be able to use that line in any other context.

At the moment, only about 20 or so, but between hubby and I, that will grow. And if his crew is going to use them, then they will have a bunch as well. It just seems silly to toss them in a landfill. I'm one of those who is compelled to send old cell phone batteries and ink cartridges back to the manufacturer to be "properly disposed of" or recycled.

My mom lives in a town where you have to buy specialized trash bags at the grocers, rinse your bottles and cans, remove the labels, take your trash to the dump, and put everything in specially marked bins. I went with her a few times when I last went to visit. I got in trouble for putting the wrong types of cans in the wrong bins. The recycling guy fussed at me and everything. I was traumatized. I refuse to visit her dump ever again.

Well isn't that a PITA!!!!! I'm afraid I'd lose my manners and tell him where he could stuff those cans!

Morander - My locality only recycles certain items. It's minimal at best, sadly. If you try to toss in items that they don't recycle they toss them back in the bin...or on my lawn sometimes. I could just see it now, hubby out mowing, and all of those carts hiding in the grass. It would be like mortar fire.

Keela - it's a very small town, and my mom has to live there. I try to make her proud (luckily I only visit once every two years or so; all that faking sweet and innocence is rather tiresome).
