Red Dragon...worth the money..?

Hi evil1rox -
I have a Red Dragon and I like it, I also refill my carts too, and yes they can get gross, but what I do is save the rubber caps that the carts came with and cut a small hole in the end and slip that over the cart when I get done refilling it, then when it starts to get icky I throw it away the rubber end cap, and just cut a new one.

I bought one just to have something to satisfy my once in a while cravings, as I quit my .5 to 1 pack a day Camel Lights.

But when the bats die out and can no longer hold a charge, I will definitely be looking into getting a joye 510.

If you do go with the Red Dragon, also look at the Greensmoke site for their cartridges as they will fit on the Red Dragon. I had (and returned) my Greensmoke kit because I couldn't justify the additional cost of the kit and the price of the cartridges. (I had trouble topping off the carts and had one battery go bad really fast.) But before I decided to return it, I did order a Red Dragon battery (their batteries are a lot cheaper than GS's.) I didn't try RDs cartridges as you only get 4 carts in a box instead of GS's 5 carts.

By the way, I too wanted a 2 piece, thinking that you have less parts to fail. I still like the concept of a 2 piece but a 3 piece does seem to work much better at this stage of the game. (THe RD and the GS batteries are much lighter and feel more like the real thing, if that is something you're interested in.)

Sorry if this only adds to the confusion. Best wishes!!

If you're going to get a 2 piece then just go ahead and get the Green Smoke kit... it's more expensive BUT, they will give you your money back within 30 days once you decide you really hate it lol... the carts are 14.75 per 5 pack and each cart lasts about 4-5 analogs worth of vaping so you'll be needing to order extra and they do not do the money back thing on carts only the starter kit.... seriously think you're going to be disappointed in any 2 piece... go check this out, it's cheap enough DealExtreme: $10.27 Electronic Cigarettes with Charger and 6-Refills Set (110V~220V AC)

The first one I got was a Red Dragon, and I don't *hate* it or anything, but I like my Dura-C and my 401 better (and am waiting impatiently for an 801:D).

The idea of a new atomizer with every cartridge sounds good, but they are expensive and sort of a hassle to refill. And if you refill them, peel the paper off the cartridge, cause it gets...icky. And you can't get the wadding out to change it, because it is all wrapped up with the atomizer. (Well, someone else might well be able to, but I didn't wanna fool with it.)

I have three batteries, one of which is dead--but I think *I* killed it, so I am not testing their warranty. I played with it a little too much;). (FWIW, if you blow through the cartridge, vapor comes out the end...but the battery does not like that at all and konks out immediately.)

I guess my point is, the Red Dragon is fine, but you will most likely be happier with another model, and save money in the long run, since the cartridges are so expensive.

But, go ahead and order one--you are going to end up with several different kinds, anyway:pervy:

Well I decided to listen to reason for once and bought the Joye510 from LibertyEcig.com...

AND I AM SUPREMELY HAPPY I DID!!!

I'm charging the manual batts now, but even the auto works well...very good throat hit in my opinion, good tasting juices (Marlboro, Apple and Vanilla), and as everyone advised...great unit!

My only complaint... I bought juice that was too strong and have a serious Nico-buzz going on. 8-o

BTW: if you get a chance...make sure to check out the offerings at LibertyEcigs.com - they treated me like gold!!! (Talk to Randall ;))
