Rediscovering The Fluxomizer...

I tossed my last two Fluxos in the emergency stash whilst vaping my beloved EMDCCs. When one of my two EMDCCs finally tanked after a month, I performed the seal mod that Mindfield introduced me to on one of the Fluxos and juiced 'er up.

Man, I had forgotten what a wonderful vape these things give! They're taste is so smooth and clean while producing clouds of wonderful vapor..and great lung hit to boot. I still ever so slightly prefer my EMDCCs, but these little puppies are a great vape as well.

Anyone tried 'em out on the new VV eGo batts yet? If so, what voltage did you like them best on?

Wick slot and BD syringe tube modded 2.6 - 2.8 Ohm Fluxomiser CE2 XL Deluxe clear on a Provari @ a totally constant 3.9 volts.

Huge flavour, clouds of vapour, time after time, every time. Fill once or twice a day. It just doesn't get any better.

When I have 50 quid to throw into a vv battery or find a cheaper alternative I'll let you know. For now 2.4 - 2.5ohm xl CE2s on whatever my 650mAh ego batteries decide to throw at them voltage wise is good enough for me.

It's too bad that there's a lot of people out there with the "all CE2's are garbage" mentality. I love the fluxomizers. Every other carto I've tried simply pales in comparison to the amount of flavor I get from them.

I gotta agree. but it took removing the middle seal and fluffing the wick to really make me like them. I still have a bunch of the older cracky ce2s and use them too. I use igo and vgo kr808 batteries and haven't found a better carto than the fluxes.

They are absolute tops in terms of flavor, for me anyway. I also dig the lung hit with that smooth rich vapor.

For sure a contender for everyday vaping. I do get some strange looks when folks at work see my 1000 mAh eGo topped with the clearish green carto with a black drip tip though. Makes me laugh!

That's a MUST DO prior to using them. I have yet to find an easy way to remove the cup seal though. I think I'm gonna invest in a good metal dental pick. I tried using an IC puller, but it didn't work well at all. Ended up pulling the guts right out of one of my last two Fluxos.

I use a paperclip that I straightned and bent with a pair of pliers on one end to make a slight hook or L shape. The thicker paperclips work better they hold their shape but the thin ones will work also. I carefully insert the bent end under the top of the seal through the wick slot and gently pull a little, then do the same thing with the other side and go back and forth until it works loose.

The first time is the most difficult, some of them seem really sealed, almost stuck to the tube, that's why I alternate both sides. After it's removed once it pops right out every time.

Yea, I've done a few. The last two I tried using a paperclip...no joy...no way! I thought they were almost glued in.

I use what looks to be an ice pick. Pretty much a handle with a pointy pick on the end. Easy to get under the lip of orings and cup seal... or just plain out pierce the cup seal and drag it out. Works every time.

I haven't tried these. I've eyed them, but they seemed like they were more problems than they're worth. I think I'll have to reevaluate that decision though; my new Provari comes tomorrow and I want to outfit 'her properly!

BTW, the Provari is on sale right now. Just sayin.

You'd do very well to re-evaluate that. Once you do the seal mod (takes about a minute) you just pop the seal out and fill with a syringe...you can even drip down the sides if you're careful. Great vape...no muss...no fuss!

Now there's a novel idea! I happen to have a few of those. Maybe I'll try to bend the tip up a bit to get a little hook going. Thanks!
