Lol I'd do it anyway. Grow my beard back out and most people think I'm some kind of series killer! So not many people tell me what not to do. But on that note you got any black stones? Or studs cuz if a certain someone has the holster ready then I wanna put some metal studs on it........

Yeah it might be ready. :) If you want to meet before the big meeting just let me know. I'm just like Santa Claus... I'm everywhere..

Well Opal, if you got plenty of pink stuff with sparkles that should be right up Scabby's alley. LOL :p J/kiddin

Ya this is really starting to sound good, plus I am really hungry right now!! What we can do is maybe get a spreadsheet for sidedishes and things to share together as we get closer. Maybe just everyone bring what you want to throw on the grill and your own drinks etc. and share the sides etc. ? Or however you guys want to do it, whatever is easiest..... Going to be good!!

Aight. I have done some checking... Looks like Frank was right :( the big pavilion at Carpenter Park does require a $50 reservation fee.

There is another park up the road a few miles I am going to check onto see what the deal is there most likely the same.

The large pavilion at Whiting Park is $30 for the day but requires Active Duty or Retired service member to reserve it.

We will give google docs a try for the sign up list so everyone can have what is being brought and head count in one place. Hopefully it works properly.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlTDSwjY75afdHpfQkpJQzc2UUtERHFjcjlqcFFOSEE&usp=sharing

Any thoughts on this?

Yeah the total head count might not be available until just a few days prior the biggest pavilion at Whiting Park is good for at least 50 I know that we won't have near that number but it is also closets to the restrooms. The City parks are also "DRY". Whiting Park is also "Wet" if that makes a difference on the organizing.

Scabby if you don't mind if she called them to double check to see if pavilion 1 has already been reserved for that day or not would be great. I know myself and another in the group would not have an issue chipping in on the reservation fee. If you need the number I will pm it to you.

Hi all,
Dusther I just clicked on the spreadsheet and it said I didn't have permission to access it so I clicked the "Request Permission" button and it said I would receive an e-mail if and when the owner approves it. So you might get an e-mail but not sure.....

If nothing else I could call about the park also... doesn't matter.

Well I was hoping to not get "Wet" at the park, thought that was one of the reason's we wanted a Pavillion for shelter/shade. :D LOL J/Kiddin but I think a few of us would prefer the wet vs. the dry park. :)

I think if we get some fliers done up here in a week or so and put them up at Sam's and Vaping Sisters, Rollin EZ etc. We will have quit abit of interest in the BBQ/picnic/potluck, whatever were callin it.

Hope everyone is doing good today. Doing ok here, kinda tired, but otherwise good.
Take care all

I am not sure if the park has any built in grilling area, Dusther?

If not I think if we bring a couple small charcoal ones or something that would be good. I have a old small charcoal one that isn't in the best of shape but it would work for atleast one grill anyway. If nothing else maybe I can find a new small one for pretty cheap that I could bring rather than drag a big one out there.

Ok where is everyone? Like a ghost town over here.... hehe Ok I think I will be able to bring a grill, just a small charcoal grill or something. Everyone doing ok? Been a pretty busy week for me for a change so that was kinda good. Starting to get a bit warmer outside. Looks like the weather is going to be in the 60's the next few days then gradually build to the higher 70s and warmer after that. :)

Anyway just thought I would stop in and say hi and see how everyone is doing....

Later all

Nope nothing new for me, haven't ordered anything since I got the China GG. So it has been a few weeks for me but have been trying to take it easy for awhile and catch up a bit. I should be pretty close to even now I would imagine on what I would have spent on smokes if I were still smoking so maybe start looking for something here sometime. Really don't need much of anything yet but might see something I like. One thing I was thinking of getting was a "Kick" and some extension tubes, but not in a rush for that. :) How bout the rest of you? Dusther was getting a new Vamo since he was having some problems. Did your new one get here Dusther?

Edit: I will call, just need the number and which one you guys want to try for? I think the one we can have some cold ones would be best......
